Rules/ Things you Should Know
Here are some rules about this very interesting sport. Basketball is a team sport played with ten people on the court at all times( five players on each team, not including refs). There are two sides to a basketball court in the first two quarters you are shooting on one side of the court depending on where you were during jump ball, and after halftime, you will shoot on the other side. The main positions in basketball are shooting guard, point guard, center, power forward, and small forward and for the most part, each of these positions are meant for certain things while on the court, for example, the center usually rebounds and does jump ball. There are also a few things you might want to know about you can get called for a double-dribble which means you dribbled the ball with both hands. another one is backcourt violation, you could get called for this if you fail to get the ball to the other side of the court after inbounding within 8 seconds. there are quite a few more things you could get called for but these are just the basics. These are just a few things and rules you might need to know about basketball.
These are just a few things about basketball including some people, rules, things you need to know and people in the hall of fame. Basketball is something that was made quite a while ago and as you can still see many people love the sport this goes to show that the person who made this sport did a very good job because without him many people wouldn´t have their profession. Overall basketball is a really fun sport you could fall in love with, and maybe one day you might even want to play in the leagues.
Some Basketball Glossary
