Danger of Old Illnesses Returning
People who are not vaccinating their kids are bringing the possibility for very old illnesses to come back and then we would have a massive outbreak. Examples would be Polio which is a disease that can cause people to become crippled. Measles is an infection typically causing fever, red rash on the skin, and it typically occurs while you are a child. Whooping Cough is a highly contagious disease that can be deadly for babies. It restricts their airways and they could strangle to death. These are very good reasons to vaccinate your kids, no one would ever want those to come back.
In 2015 the Center of Disease Control in Ashland, Oregon was carefully watching the town. Ashland is the least vaccinated place in America due to parents not wanting their children vaccinated. This is a social problem because if one child is not vaccinated and comes in contact with a person who has a contagious disease, it will spread like wildfire to other children who are not vaccinated which would lead to an enormous contagious outbreak. If an outbreak would have occurred more than likely they wouldn’t let people in or out of the town to keep it from spreading even more.
Technological Advancements
Technological advancements in medicine have changed the world for the better health of the human race. Vaccines have advanced so much it’s estimated it adds thirty years to a human’s life. If doctors and scientists thought for one second that the shots they have created were in any way shape or form dangerous they would not give it out to the public. Most of the vaccines do have side effects, but personally, I would rather have a side effect from a vaccine than to have the real deal. March 22, of 2013 the CDC report said that about 90% of children who were not vaccinated for influenza died.
The benefits of getting vaccinated are the possibilities that eventually all diseases will be eliminated. An example would be smallpox. After many years of vaccinations, smallpox is no longer existent in the world. Therefore vaccinating all children hopefully in the future many diseases we see now will become non-existent. By not vaccinating your kids you’re lengthening the time of more diseases that could be non-existent.
Advice for Legal Guardians
In conclusion, I strongly suggest to all legal guardians to have your children immunized and vaccinated. Due to the advisory of medical professionals and science, it is clear that the benefits of vaccination are greater than the negatives. Keeping you children vaccinated prevent bringing old diseases back. While not vaccinating them is raising the chances of them coming back. Doctors go to school for years and years to help us so if they say it’s ok to vaccinate your kids just go ahead with it.
