The first reason why technology is useful is because it helps students have an increased ability to learn. This is because it is an easy way to reach a database that contains information that you would never imagine existed. The articles that I read mentioned how technology now allows children to observe things in a classroom in a whole new way, which allows them to be able to understand what they are learning even better than before. Why technology is good in the educational field is because it is helping children learn even though they have a disability. “Meanwhile, Autism Speaks has launched an initiative titled Hacking Autism, where programmers and developers are invited to work on technology-based ideas to aid kids on the spectrum with learning and social skills.” This is stating how the advanced technology that we have today is helping autistic children to learn the same social skills as other children their age have. Also, these new programs may even help autistic children to be able to better understand topics that they struggle to learn on their own. This is why technology is beneficial for students to learn with and to help children with disabilities to succeed on their own.
Technology Simplifies Day-to-Day Activities
The second reason why technology has advantages is because technology makes it easier to record data and do day-to-day activities. This is so because we now have so many little shortcuts because of our advanced technology that it makes our lives a lot easier. Also, it allows us to be able to access more information in the future to compare with the even newer information. For children, this is like educational heaven. It allows children to learn in a fundamental way. “Students learn a lot and have fun at the same time.” This is explaining how the children are learning new things but they are having fun. Teaching like this is good because it allows children to access lots of information and they are having fun, which helps children to learn a certain topic even better than if you were reading out of a textbook. This is why technology is beneficial for students, teachers, grownups, and for learning.
Robot Technology in Healthcare
But technology is great for our well-being because it saves lives. Technology saves lives because of our advanced medicine and robot technology that helps doctors to perform safer surgery. Also, it helps to decrease the risk of people who are injured during surgery because we now have robots that are specialized to do different surgeries and they make precise incisions that heal nicer and lower the risks of other bad outcomes. This new technology has made us dependent and it elongates our lives. ‘Our society has learned that we are technologically dependent for our longevity.” This is stating how since we now have greater technology than 100 years ago we have since seen a rising in the average human age. Meaning that we depend on our modern-day technology to provide us with better treatments, causing longer lives. This is why technology is good in the medical field.
Pros and Cons of Social Websites
However, some people will say that technology is bad because of how it has started to prevent social interactions. This is so because technology can obtain many of the things that human interaction used to take place of. For example, we used to talk with people in person but now it is being taken over by texting, calling, and even social websites such as Facebook. “Let us dare to leave our phones at home, to really get out there and experience a breath of technology-free air every once in a while.” This is saying how people are relying so much on the technology they are starting to forget what a day without a phone is like. This is careless because it is showing how people are not happy with what they have, and they take technology for granted. This is why technology can not be good for our society. But technology can be very good because of the ways that it has enhanced our society. “So the more important concern surrounding the screen-time debate isn’t the time; it’s the quality of the content.’ This is stating that technology is not a concern because of how long you spend in front of a screen, it is the quality of the information that you are looking at.
How We Benefit From Technology
Ultimately technology is good because of all the ways it has benefited our society and increased our ability to teach and educate children in the classroom. Technology has helped us with recording data, teaching children, and saving lives. Also by increasing our teaching abilities, it is helping students to succeed in the future and it is helping some students to learn, to save lives, and accomplish many things that wouldn’t have been possible without our advanced technology. This is why technology is useful, because it helps our everyday lives to be easier and more advanced in a way that nobody could’ve ever imagined, anywhere from an increased ability to educate children and recording data in a computer to saving lives in the hospital using a robotic arm.
