My passion, drive, and motivation is making music that has a positive message and touches the heart. Music Production has always captured my interest. I have found an enjoyment in listening and examining all aspects of the music field. Throughout my entire life, I have played instruments such as the drums, organ, piano, and keyboard. Having experience in this field, I am inspire to produce many great artists and expose new artist to the world. In recent years, several reports revealed the negative impact some music has had on our youth.

This music drove them to commit criminal activities, indulge in fights, etc. In my opinion, music should promote unity, love, and forgiveness. This along with other factors is the reason I would like to begin my own company Nomadic Music Productions.

The mission of the Nomadic Music Production Company is to provide music as a therapy to help bring healing and restoration to the soul; we believe in putting God first and making Him the center of the business it will prosper, excel, and increase your gift and bring you before great men.

The name of nomadic is derived from my older brother, he is also into music, and he is an inspiration to me. He is constantly on the move to bigger and better things in life. He is always striving to make sure that he is doing the best to please the audience that has been placed before him.

The company is going to be housed with writers, producers, managers, musicians, promoters, rappers, and singers. We want to target the youth, and young adults because these populations are more profitable and more eager to listen and purchase the music. In the magazine Azcentral, teens are spending one-third of their time listening to or watching music online on social media outlets. Furthermore, in the Forbes magazine indicated Americans are spending 32 hours listing to music in a week. This current statistical data validates the audience we selected to target. In the music industry you have competition with other production companies because music is such a large industry, and people are competing for the same thing. The majority of people in the music industry are looking to make number one albums that places their songs on the charts and on billboards. This drive to be successful leads to everyone having their own sounds which will leave it up to the audience that is listening or watching to choose which one they like better.

Therefore, it is imperative to be unique and authentic. The possible alternative solutions to help our company is to hire credible and reliable top notch line promoters, managers, writers, rappers, singers, engineers, and producers. In order to have a solid team, these alternative solutions are a must to reach goals and go to the next level to win awards and with number one hits. We also know that all these alternative solutions need each other to make the team work reach the dream work. You need a strong Artists and Repertoire (A&R) person on your team to represent the client’s best interest (Music Careers, 2014). This person or persons are the ones who are employed by the record label to be on the lookout for the next big thing (Music Careers, 2014). When the next attention seeker is found and the contract is signed, the person in charge will continue to be the wingman of the artist involved in the campaigning of the album as well as the design of the cover. A good publisher is essential to your artist to ensure that royalties are paid in the manner in which intended to avoid any conflicts or errors in money management.

A Music Promoter is someone who publicizes and promotes events and shows. They will work hand in hand with a booking agent once your artist has made it to a certain success level. The booking agent comes into play once the artist has made somewhat because they are paid a percentage of the artist live take. You do not want to get a booking agent on board until they are able to benefit from your artist proceeds without them going into debt. The promoter and the booking agent organize gigs, book bands, artists and advertise the shows to bring in paying attendees and profits. The role of a Brand Manager or Product Manager who is working in the music industry is to help create and implement marketing campaigns to maximize the sales of music from a record label, artist, online music service, radio station or other music product. In a nutshell the manager does it all. They get the headaches and high blood pressure that comes with trying to maintain balance for and artist. They try to keep the artist doing what they do best and that is singing and songwriting.

They tend to handle all the day to day affairs and that is why it is important to have a strong support team to ensure that daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly affairs are handled appropriately to avoid any financial hardships in the future. A songwriter is a professional that writes lyrics or musical compositions for songs. Often times if the songwriter is also the singer it can appear to audiences that it is coming from the heart of one who has had an experience. The pressure from the music industry to produce popular hits means that songwriting is often an activity for which the tasks can be distributed between a number of people. A Singer spends long days and nights in the studio perfecting their craft. He may sing demos, sing for commercials, sing numerous styles of music etc. Their marketing plan consists of advertising their service for hire. They are constantly trying to build an expanded fan base. An Artist finds a niche and fills it. They are forever learning and studying and practicing to show that they have found their comfortable place. They may be a cross between 2 or more genres, attracting fans from both ends of the spectrum. Rap is a musical form of vocal delivery that incorporates 'rhyme, rhythmic speech, and street vernacular', which is performed or chanted in a variety of ways, usually over a backbeat or musical accompaniment.

The components of rap include 'content' (what is being said), 'flow' (rhythm, rhyme), and 'delivery' (cadence, tone). An audio engineer (also sometimes referred to as recording engineer) helps to produce a recording or a live performance, balancing and adjusting sound sources using equalization and audio effects, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound. Last but not least the producer oversees and manages the sound recording and production of a band or performer's music, which may range from recording one song to recording a lengthy conceptual album. Promoters would be the best solution because they are the ones who puts the music out there and helps to get you connected to radio stations. A music promoter’s job is to publicize and promote events and shows. Music promoters also organize the gigs, books the shows for our artist, and they advertise the shows to bring in the paying attendees and profits. The work that the promotor does for your artist can move your artist to success or will stagnate their success due to lack of promoting before the release hits the market.

The promoter can have the artist all over the place doing big shows in the USA as well as other countries. The promoter negotiates any fees for the artist and then publicizes that event through radio, television, online or email advertising. The music promoter also works hand in hand with the booking agent to ensure the artists have everything they need, from hotel rooms to sound checks. The promoter typically creates a contract outlying the terms of the agreement, including fees owed to the promoter, date and time of sound checks, the length of the artist performance and any other events. So, in essence, the promoter is basically the one who oversees the marketing process in getting your stuff out there. The promoter has a relaxing atmosphere at work. They often have their own office and could possibly have a secretary or an assistant. They meet with potential venues face to face at a restaurant or something of the sort. They are typically on the phone or online more than anything else completing their work.

The promoter usually gets 20% off the door sales. The bigger the audience the bigger the take. A local promoter may not take home as much as a promoter that has been in the business for quite some time. This is only due to at a local venue the only people that are going to be in attendance are those that know the artist from the area. The upside to being promoted in larger venues is the scale of the crowd could include larger venues and of course more people other than local. The artist that does what they need to do when they get to a venue will keep a promoter on the hunt for bigger and better shows and crowds. The industry as a whole can be tricky but once you have found your niche, it will produce a solid foundation for you that will include fringe benefits that continue to grow. Increase is the ultimate goal and reaching our youth with positive messages is the key. Once the promoter has worked with the team of all stars to promote and build the artist’s rapport, the rest is yet to be told.
