To the Selection Committee,

I am a firm believer of pursuing creative designing and social development and I desire of implementing these ideas into my thoughts and plan of action to constantly strive to perform better. Right from spearheading the graphics team at college and leading an inter-disciplined life to raise money and working for child development, I feel I have been nurturing myself to reach new heights in this journey.

My interest in designing goes way back to my early formative years when my father bought me a MacBook.

My fascination with it led me to explore and appreciate its highly interactive user interface. Soon I started browsing multiple websites to equip myself with its features and was enthralled to see the spectrum of design and creative features used for content display. Gradually, I developed an interest to understand the various facets of developing websites. It was later during my bachelor's via multiple internships and projects, that I decided to pursue front end development as a career.

Additionally, my engineering background coupled with my innate passion for creativity propelled me to explore this field and eventually motivated to take up a graduate course in web engineering at TUC.

Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have participated in various extracurricular activities to kindle my design skills and develop sportsmanship. In my sophomore year, I spearheaded the graphics team at our annual cultural festival as an executive member and led a 2-tier team of 15 volunteers, designing posters and banners by collaborating with multiple institute bodies.

At Chemnitz, I have looked out for opportunities to sharpen my creativity, be it joining the "Made by You" group which helped me to pursue fine arts or participating in the Lichterfest, wherein I headed the decor team, I have been constantly learning to enhance my creative instincts. Along with pursuing creativity, one of my major goals in life is to develop self-discipline. I have been in a continuous pursuit to cultivate this by playing basketball throughout my undergrad and postgrad. I feel I am driven by the joy of being outside with friends, pushing my limits, and improving myself through hard work and persistence. It has taught me that camaraderie and trust, rather than personal glory, are essential to achieving success as a team, and has given me the emotional maturity to be gracious in defeat and humble in victory.

"Making this world a better place to live"- this statement strongly resonates with my outlook towards life, forming its very foundation. This perspective motivated me to volunteer at an NGO in my pre-final year, wherein I successfully organized sensitization workshops and drove awareness campaigns for drug and alcohol addicts. This experience has further encouraged me to be a part of UNICEF group in the University, wherein I work as a volunteer to raise funds for early stage development of young children. My past works for social betterment have led me to believe that it is instrumental to give back to the society we live in by contributing to community development for a sustainable future. Therefore in the short run, I plan to set up an Environment Club on campus to run campaigns and create awareness events about plantation, recycling, energy savings etc. Additionally, my fundraising experience at UNICEF has highlighted the vast potential to mobilize social capital and has fueled my long -term vision to tap the CSR funds for developing a financial ecosystem to mitigate climate change and promote sustainable energy in Germany.

Today, I believe that as young leaders we courageously play a key role in the revolutionary change of our country and this change is possible with the right ability, motivation and a strong sense of purpose. My academic achievements along with my active co-curricular have enabled me to develop strong leadership and interpersonal skills and have developed in me the right capabilities to drive this change. It would, therefore, be my proud privilege to be a recipient of this scholarship which will further motivate me to champion societal causes.
