Prov 22: 1, Ecclesiastes 7:1

"Legacy is about life and living. It's about learning from the past, living in the present, and building for the future"; Susan V. Bosak

No one is concerned about a good name any more.

Given a choice between character and wealth, most of us would rather pick wealth.

God is concerned about our reputation.

He has created us to glorify His name. Our reputation should glorify the Lord.

When our time on earth is up what shall we be remembered for? Proverbs 10:7.

The idea of legacy may remind us of death.. Being reminded of death is actually a good thing, because death informs life.

Cus D'Amato was a famous boxing manager and trainer. He once said that a "hero and a coward both feel the same thing. It's what they do that makes the difference. Discovering and pursuing this purpose is one step towards living a life that leaves a legacy.

A Eulogy attempts to summarize a deceased person's life. Sometimes it becomes very difficult to state what some people did or what they left behind.

Two dates on your epitaph but what matters most is the dash in between. The dash is your life. What you did. How you lived. Whose life you touched. The legacy you left behind.

The more purposefully engaged you are in helping others, the deeper and finer and more memorable is your dash.

The dash tells your story. What story will your dash tell?

The eulogy attempts to tesify on the deceased person's behalf. At times I feel as if it really does not capture the legacy left behind. The story cn't be told on a few pages of paper.

Expert's Assessment
The essay explores the concept of legacy, drawing on biblical references and examples of individuals who left a lasting impact. However, it falls short in analysis, lacking depth and clear structure. Excessive reliance on quotes without adequate elaboration creates confusion. The narrative could benefit from more critical examination and cohesion in presenting ideas.
How can you enhance this essay?
The essay would benefit significantly from a comprehensive overhaul. Begin by establishing a clearer structure, with distinct sections and smooth transitions. Minimize the reliance on quotes, allowing more room for personal insights and analysis to deepen understanding. Avoid repetitiveness in theme, ensuring each point contributes meaningfully. To enhance engagement, consider weaving in real-life examples that illustrate the concepts discussed. Add depth to the biblical references by providing context and relevance to the overarching theme of legacy. Also, pay attention to language refinement for conciseness and proofread for grammatical accuracy, promoting overall readability and coherence.
