Raffaello Sanzio Da Urbino also called Raphael is an influential renaissance artist and a man who created many works of art despite his early death. He truly defined the life of a Renaissance artist and influenced many others. He was a great Italian painter and architect whose works were usually praised for the grace and detail he would put into his work. At 11 he was orphaned since his family had died but his father didn’t leave him clueless. His father himself was a painter and without a doubt had taught his son (Raphael) techniques to do so.

Along with receiving teachings from his father he had formed and worked with Davinci and Michelangelo to form a trinity that revolutionized the Renaissance. This shows how Raphael is truly a Renaissance artist.
Raphael was a nomad to stay the least. Throughout his short life, he traveled throughout Italy in order to take in the different teachings and inspirations of everywhere he would go.

He first started off in the city of Umbria where he lived with his uncle and was forced to take an apprenticeship at the age of 8 to work on his art skills. The first medium that Raphael had worked on was oil in which by the end of his apprenticeship he was considered a master by the end of his apprenticeship in 1501 he had clearly honed in on his craft. After this, he would go to Florence from 1504 to 1508. While in Florence he was able to pick up on the style there while perfecting his style.

A major event that happened in Florence is the return of Leonardo Da Vinci who Raphael had taken great inspiration from. This inspiration allowed for the people in his photo to be more life-like, complex, and complex. He would then move to Rome and live out the rest of his short life there.
The final chapters of Raphael’s life would end here in Rome. To start off his career he was sent an invitation from the Pope who at the time was Julius II to work on Saint Peter’s basilica. After this beautiful accomplishment, the Pope kept his talents in mind. Raphael receive a commission from the Pope that would blow all the over commissions he had received out of the water. He was asked by the Pope to paint his private library. This would be the first “Raphael Room” that he would do that would revolutionize Roman art. This relationship he could build with the pope would help Raphael continue his art because of the relationship he had with the pope. He would then go on to continue his short but illustrious career and showed how he clearly defined the renaissance. His end would be caused by a fever on April 6th, 1520 followed by a grand wedding for somebody who was clearly a renaissance man and artist.
