Stop to Global Warming and Climate Change

I'm gather here to discuss and raise an awareness to this life threatening issue. Think about the time you were young? Has the weather changed like turbines warmer all of a sudden. colder perhaps? Or maybe you notice more hotter summers or even more snowfall. This is all caused because climate change and global warming. Global warming has been an issue for a while now but it’s just hasn’t been so bad as it is now.

Did you know that if everyone in the world lived as “Americans”, it would take five Earths to construct enough resources for every living person on Earth right now.

For those who don’t know what global warming is, global warming is the gradual increase of the temperature of earth's atmosphere and oceans. Global warming is caused by greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and methane which is trapped heat inside the atmosphere of the earth. Ok here’s an example of global warming, you open your car door after a hot day and windows begin rolled up.

Heat from the sun enters the car, but from the window begin closed all day the game of the car prevents it from escaping. This isn’t one major factor but it’s a representation of what happened during global warming. I'm sure many of you have seen or heard something about polar bears and how their fighting for their lives. Because of global warming melting sea ice will cause polar bears too soon starve to death.

Polar bears depend on seals to keep up and minimize their energy consumption. They hunt for hours waiting to catch food, when a seal comes to surfaces to breath the bear stands on its hind legs and smacks it on the head with both of its front paws to stun it.

Then the bear bites it dragging it into ice to feed their family. But without the glacier how can bears survive if they can’t hunt for food. They are just going to starve to death. Because not only does global warming affects polar bear, it affects the seal. So it’s a cycle of life where everything trickle down. Climate change is heating and affecting Arctic faster than any other part of the world, the Arctic has lost 12 billions pounds of ice this year. A study done recently, shows how bad it’s gotten. Pagano’s study invoked on taking 9 female bears in the Beaufort Sea. The nine polar bears has been given a GPS collar that has cameras to record the life of each one of the polar bears, blood and urine samples were taken also. 11 days later all the polar bears were Re-captured for data to analyze. About 35% of the time The bears has burned about 12,325 cal a day. 4 of the female seals weren’t able to catch any food. And within those 11 days these animals lost 10% or more of their body mass. Now let’s move onto sea turtles. Sea turtles use both marine and terrestrial habitats during their life cycle. A rise in sea levels can impact the turtles nesting beaches. Most sea turtles memories are “imprinted” with a magnetic map of where they’ve been hatch. These ability gives sea turtles to return to the same site years later to repeat their ancient nesting ritual. Beaches are beginning to disappear due to melting ice caps and rising sea levels causing turtles to not reproduce as they knew to.

This is so heartbreaking to know these harmless creatures, are dying due to human act. If we all come together as one and put a stop to global warming and climate change I believe we can overcome this with time and effort. The little things can make a big impact on all lives. Climate change is caused by US! And we are endangering the earth without knowing. I really want to make a change in this because I want my future generation to experience life and enjoy it. I am sure you want that too for your family. So by picking up a piece of trash, taking the train instead of driving, not smoking, can make a huge impact on earth today. Thank you and save the earth!
