There were two sports that Kobe love playing, like soccer and basketball. He would usually play these sports at the YMCA while he returned back to the United States, but showed his passion toward basketball. As he played italy, he was the only Native American to play on his team. He was very aggressive and didn’t back down from any challenges he faced during his time playing basketball in Italy. He attended a small school named Bala Cynwyd Middle School in Philadelphia where he started showing love for the game of basketball. Than as he went into highschool, his basketball skills where shown out into the world. Reporters and scouts came to watch the young version of what was next for the NBA, there as a junior he averaged 31.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists, after all of the effort he put in, he was named the Pennsylvania Player of the Year. He was then set to be an Naismith High School Player of the Year, McDonald’s All American, Gatorade Men’s National Basketball Player of the Year, and a USA Today All-USA First Team player. He then decided to have to courage to go straight to the NBA at age 17.
Kobe and Laine were married at the age of 19. While Vanessa Laine was still working in a hotel in Colorado, Kobe was filed charges of sexual assault which led him to court. He was guilty for what he did to her and was innocent for any rape charges. She still loved him and called of the divorce forgiving him and giving him another chance. This case was dismissed in the year of 2004, where both are stilled married and are a healthy couple. They created a foundation where it helped students understand what they are learning so that they can become successful when they get older. He is a father to three kids named, Natalia Diamante Bryant, born on 19 January 2003, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant born on May 1, 2006, and the most recent one Bianka Belly Bryant born on December 5, 2016. Another recent moment that has happen, is the short animated film created by him. This short animated film was released is April 23, 2017 where it talks about Kobe’s passion for basketball ever since he was a kid, and and how it affected his future. He won and oscar for best animated short film of the year and sports emmy award for outstanding post-produced graphic designed. Now he is working on a book of what goes through his head while playing the game.
Kobe is a professional basketball player that is on the road of becoming a future Hall of Famer. He has one the of the most smoothest fadeaways in the league that goes in most of the time. Though he is a good shooter, he is one of the most elite defenders. For example, if you ever get him mad while you play against him, he will have dominance over you and wouldn’t have a chance to let you score. He does not back down from any challenges he faces while playing in the NBA, he knows that inside of him he is better than all he goes against. One big thing that stands out for Kobe is the energy he gives out. Even though he had to faced many injuries, he fought through them and didn’t let him from stopping him from doing something that he loves. Awhile back, he faced the Warriors, where he tore a muscle while getting foul. As he got foul you would need to shoot free throws, he was very hurt and tired but with his mentality his made both clutch free throws that led them to victory. Two important years for Kobe was 2010 and 2016. In 2010, he lead his team to the Finals where they faced the Celtics once again. But that didn’t stop Kobe from getting his fifth ring, and at the final game of that year he led them to win the championship, finals mvp, and last of all the last ring of his career. In 2016 it was Kobe’s last year in the NBA, playing 20 seasons, having 5x NBA champion, 2x Finals MVP, 1x MVP, 18x All Star Games and many more. This last game he scored 60 Points and was in the record books. He then retired in 2017 and has his own holiday only in Los Angeles.
Kobe Bryant is on my list of the 100 most influential people according to me because he has taught me to never give up and to be a hard-worker for it to pay off in the future. As my time seeing him play, he was independent and gave it all on the court, as he faced injuries that would come on and off. But those wouldn’t stop him from his dreams, like winning a championship and playing for the people that watched him. Once he left he had made an impact both on the fans and the players as people missed how he played or how we put his gameplay into use when we ever have the chance to. He affected me positively as I watched him play and how he helped outside of the court too. He shows all people to believe that their dreams will come true if you put out your heart for it and don’t mind the distractions that come through you. He wants us to be brave in the choices we make without putting hatred out into the world. As he only played for the Lakers some people hated him, and some people didn’t. But overall they did like Kobe, because he has showed respect to all people, donate money to those in need, and ast of all teach the future of NBA how the game is supposed to be played.
Kobe Bean Bryant is a forever inspiration to all people. He played with the Lakers throughout his career and didn’t disrespect the fans hearts. As he faced many challenges on and off the court it still didn’t stop him from the dreams he has a little kid and as an adult. Basketball was a big factor in Bryant’s career, he sacrificed a lot for things that he loved and it all was worth it at the end. While choosing him, there was many things that I knew about him and some of the things I didn’t. It was very easy find all things that helps with this essay because of the background information I had for him. He will always be an inspiration to me and will always be my favorite basketball player to ever play the game, he shows me every key detail to be one of the greats like he was for all people who ever watched the game of basketball.
