The Purpose of this Paper is to know that Why People Commit Crime? What are their reasons why they do it? What is the main cause of crime and its imperative relationship to poverty? This is a question that many people wonder about every day.
Although we will never know the exact reasons, such a question at first may seem unanswerable because we could never pinpoint the exact cause of such worldwide problems. Crime and poverty have been around from time was time and there is no doubt that crime is on the increase not only in the world but also in the Philippines.
These year, many people have committed crimes in many countries but also here in the Philippines.
In a society where crime is common, we often struggle with understanding why people commit crimes.
The reasons why people commit crimes are many, but one thing is clear: it's not always about the law.
There are various reasons why criminals choose to do criminal acts.
One reason why people commit crimes is because they want to.
This can be classified as an individual making a poor choice in life. It also can be the result of the environment he or she surrounds their self with. The old saying is ‘‘You are who you hang around’’. Which is very true criminals tend to hang around other criminals. A lot of times criminals are brought up in very high-crime areas where they tend to get involved in criminal activity because that is all they see so they adjust to that way of life.
People commit crimes for many reasons, ranging from personal gain to revenge.
For example, some people may feel that they have been treated unfairly by their employer and decide to steal from them in retaliation.
Others may decide to steal from others because they want to buy something they cannot afford or because they want to make more money than they are currently earning.
Many people also commit crimes because they feel like they will get away with them. This can be due to their own confidence or the fact that they have been successful at avoiding detection in the past. For example, if someone has never been caught stealing before and feels confident that they won't be caught this time either then they may decide to continue stealing until they get caught because it seems worth it at the time (or at least worth trying).
Another reason why people commit crime is because of peer pressure or influence from others who have already done so first without getting caught themselves yet which makes committing similar crimes seem more acceptable as well (e.g., "everyone does it").
