Contributing Cultural Diversity and Versatility for School Culture

The school culture stresses on a diverse mix of students; life at the school is a unique experience for the students. How will your candidature contribute to the culture at this school?

I have studied at two very different universities. This has given me the opportunity to mix with many people as well as coming across different teaching styles and methods of learning. My work has taken me to three different continents and includes  periods spent in various parts of India, in Mumbai and in Bangalore as well as in London as a credit controller for the XYZ company.

I have also worked in the company’s Austin branch, so you can see that I have had a diverse cultural experiences at work and more generally.. I believe that this has made me versatile and well able to cope with new challenges. I will bring different ideas to college from those of local students, which will help us to come up with a wider range of answers to the situations presented to us

 I have been an equity sales analyst, previously working as a research analyst and team member.

Being capable of working both independently and as part of a team will fit in well with college life. As well as working in a purely financial company I was consultant and research analyst for a sponge iron manufacturing company in India and in London I worked as a credit controller in a large express delivery company.

From all this you can see that I have had quite a diverse working experience to date.

  I have gained much experience of differing industries and types of people and learnt skills, both in business and social ones that will be helpful in the future.

The fact that I have been able to work successfully with people who come from a very different cultural background to my own, and in such a variety of situations, can only be to the advantage of the school to which I am applying. I look forward to meeting more people and to acquiring new skills and experiences alongside them.
