The Pros and Cons of Using Robots in Companies and Factories

Nowadays many companies and factories have robots and machinery to run the place rather than humans like the old times. People believe that this is the main reason for joblessness. However, is there anything that can be done about it? Robots are taking over the world and it has helped further grow most businesses. Robots can be anything like: Pharmacists, lawyers and paralegals, astronauts, soldiers, baby sitter and many more. There are a lot of pros and cons for using robots rather than humans.

A large group of businesses decided to let go some employees to replace them with expensive machinery and robots.

"To send humans back to the moon would not be advancing. It would be more than 50 years after the first moon landing when we got there, and we'd probably be welcomed by the Chinese. But we should return to the moon without astronauts and build, with robots, an international lunar base, so that we know how to build a base on Mars robotically.

Robots were made to help finish things easier and a lot faster than humans.

For example, factories used to use human workers to package and wrap products and the process wasn't as fast as it is now.

Also, robots are used as astronauts as they can cope with a lot of conditions unlike humans. On the other hand, affording all this is not as cheap as people think. Most businesses start with human employees to save up some money to upgrade their industry with the market's newest robots and machinery.

Which means that buying robots and machinery is a big hassle and it wastes a lot of time.

However, as people say nothing comes easy and effort must be done to succeed. Many factories have dangerous sections like hot ovens or sharp items that can hurt human workers.

As well as robot soldiers that can be used in battlefields to reduce the amount of fatalities. Robots were designed to cope with all conditions like heat, cool, wet and dry and under high pressures. Furthermore, robots can perform tasks that are too dangerous for humans which makes them more reliable and preferred over humans. In contrast, this will create a huge problem to the employees as industries would not want humans to work for them anymore. This will cause a global issue which is unemployment. “Big ideas, big ambitious projects need to be embedded within culture at a level deeper than the political winds. It needs to be deeper than the economic fluctuations that could turn people against an expensive project because they're on an unemployment line and can't feed their families”.

However, humans are still needed to help with the maintenance and to control the robots after all. Studies proved that using robots can result in a cleaner more precise industrialization which leads to a quick development and an increase in the total earnings. Robot's work is done very precisely without any faults unlike humans. Factories with human workers face many mistakes daily as all humans make mistakes. However, robots proved that they can produce a cleaner job with 80% less chance to make a mistake. In contrast, Due to all the pressure and heat robots can produce a lot of electrical waste. This is due to parts wearing out and some parts being old and in need to be replaced which will result in trashing the old parts causing another global issue. Yet, industries employ specialized staff to get rid of the waste in a green and a clean way such that the environment doesn't get affected “If robots are to clean our homes, they'll have to do it better than a person.”.

When it comes to factory production it is always the best to produce the largest quantity in the shortest period to grow faster and increase the total income, Robots were created to do that. Without robots, the job will be done a lot slower and many factories would fail and close. “Industrialization based on machinery, already referred to as a characteristic of our age, is but one aspect of the revolution that is being wrought by technology". Robots reduce 85% of the time workers need to finish a certain task. Therefore, machinery is one of the highest priority in any industry. Never the less, robots can still be a danger this is because robots don't have human brains. They don't think before doing anything. So, they only perform tasks they were programmed to do.

Once the machine fails the whole industry can come under a chaos. However, such thing has a small chance of happening due to our modern technologies. In conclusion, robots are capable of doing many everyday tasks faster and more precise. Therefore, many industries prefer to integrate the use of robots to their industry. People may think that using robots eliminates the human workers but robots still need humans to run them, maintain them regularly and help clean all the left overs and wastes that they produce. Robots cost might be another issue for others. However, there is no success that comes over night. “The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand. Hard work and effort is needed, also money saving is necessary to provide a budget that can grow the industry
