It also, attain health equity, eliminate disparities, and improve the health of all groups. They focus their power in the creation of environments either physical and social, that promotes good lifestyles and good health for all, seeking quality of life and health behaviors.
The program aims around 1,200 objectives that are organized into 42 topic areas, each of which represents an important public health area. The most recent data available for tracking Healthy People 2020 objectives, including socio-demographic it generates data organized separately by race, Hispanic origin, gender, education, income, family type, age, country of birth, disability, geographic location, marital status, and selected other populations, have been currently available online at the Health Indicators Warehouse. Eventually, all Healthy People 2020 data will be available on the HealthyPeople.gov website.
In correspondence with my investigation, specifically Miami the community I am part of had struggled with lack of community health services, access to programs focus in a high quality of life, obesity, diabetes, and a high volume of Sexually Transmitted Diseases. It is imperative that all the possible actions are taking place in order to improve and provided wellness all over the Population.
Miami’s quality of life depends heavily on the well-being and safety of its residents.
It remains important that not only our children but also our population’s adulthood together with elevated physical health are connected to better academic performance, efficiency on the job and general happiness. The health of Miami-Dade population is linked to policies and initiatives involving our government, nonprofits and the comprehensive economy, among other factors. By completing goal lines such as increasing of the health care access and creating safer neighborhoods, necessitates nonstop alliance among participants to advance holistic solutions. Overweight and Obesity, in the nearby environment, affects our health and physical activity. In Miami Dade County the data indicates there are health concerns related to weight and physical activity. Overweight and obesity are both labels for ranges of weight that are greater than what is generally considered healthy for a given height. The level of activity is considerably lower compared to the state. The population several times faced problematic accessibility in access to healthcare services. This issue point towards an emerging complication for any person. The government has separated the population and the promptest factors to be evaluated. Our Latin population is the largest measurable number of individuals in Miami, also shadowed by African Americans affected the population, being the socioeconomic status the most problematic issue that contributes to this disproportion.
It is not a mystery that most of the People all over the world, but more specifically the people that live in Miami have a badly-behaved nutrition habit. Furthermore, our community is prompt to be the prevalence of obesity. As per the Clinical Guideline found in the CDC webpage, it is considered an obese individual, any person’s prevalence of adult BMI greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2. These markers have greatly increased since the 1970s. Recently; however, this trend has leveled off, except for older women. Obesity has continued to increase in adult women who are age 60 years and older. The shocking intensification of obesity has ended in a major public health issue. These conditions disturb diverse aspects of human life, particularly affecting the wellbeing of the individuals, by triggering or exasperating health conditions such as high blood pressure and heart diseases. Most of the obese population have developed a series of additional conditions such as depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, and self-loathing, becoming an alarming subsequence in general. Due to the majority of the Obese population are disabled due to conditions related to the overweight, they have to hinge on the state to take care of their different requirements. This amplified reliance definitely have an antagonistic effect on the local economy in the absence of strategies to deal with the problem.
The lack of access the health services our community has faced create consequently problems to the individuals related to physical, mental and socioeconomic status. Nutrition and weight affect the quality of life of an individual since those who are not overweight are less likely to die at a young age, experience complications during pregnancy or acquire chronic conditions such as hypertension or diabetes. According to healthy people 2020 (2019), a habit that can help you manage your weight is the consumption of a healthy diet. A healthy diet includes the consistent consumption of foods rich in fiber, such as vegetables and fruits, and avoiding processed or sugary foods. Some of the factors that influence the diet are cultural beliefs, social norms, economics, knowledge and social support. Numerous epidemiological studies have been conducted to show the relationship between overweight, abdominal fatness and risk of a wide range of illnesses. It all has a high risk of physical health problems associated with obesity. The health risks and health care costs associated with overweight and obesity are considerable. With more cases of obesity and less effort to contain the community of Miami counts into the Healthy People 2020 Initiative
Part of the actions taken to decrease the volume of people suffering this condition (Obesity) are programs that will teach the most effective nutrition way of living, and weight status. Several initiatives may be implemented for growing the consumption of more healthy food and diet. A more intensive approach of the Primary care Physicians to educate the population so they can educate their family members. These actions implementations will definitely reduce the number of obese individuals while decreasing the intake of unhealthy foods such as Soda drinks in children. And increase the consumption of more resourceful foods that will prevent weight gain. Also, more efficient developing of programs to help the community to gain access to the healthcare services should have been created. It is vital that the individuals are under health coverage, and develop more availability to health care facilities, and Specialists. By taking those steps the government will commit to decreasing the amount of probability of individuals suffering from a different condition related to the socio-economic environment. By implementing those actions, the community will reduce the visit to Healthcare centers, an office visit to Specialist and Hospitals. These initiatives are designed and objective to protect the population.
Leading Health Indicators are a subset of Healthy People 2020 objectives selected to communicate high-priority health issues. Leading Health Indicators are a subset of Healthy People 2020 objectives selected to communicate high-priority health issues. This objective was revised. The etiology of obesity is multifactorial, involving complex interactions among genetic background, hormones, and different social and environmental factors. A public health approach to developing population-based strategies for the prevention of excess weight gain should target factors contributing to obesity, should be multifaceted, and actively involve different levels of stakeholders and other major parties. Potential policy areas to the development and implementation of such strategies should cross from the home environment to a broader policy level of socioeconomic environments. However, there is likely to be many barriers towards strategies based on policies alone. The prevention and reduction of overweight and obesity depend ultimately on individual lifestyle changes, and further research on motivations for behavior change would be important in combating the obesity epidemic.
