I have selected the occasion of the birth of my daughter which has transformed my life in a very positive way. My daughter Madison Patricia Rock is genuinely and completely my everything. If it wasn’t for her I am not sure where I would be right now. The day she was born I grasped how much you could really love another human being. The actuality that I made her and she derived from me makes it so abundantly special. I recognized from that day forward that I was no longer living my life for me, but living my life to be the finest mom conceivable and take care of her.
My daughter was born on February 20, 2008 at 420 pm. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY at CVPH Medical Center. Alice Delventhal, C.N.M. is who delivered Madison. Alice said “that the delivery was actually a rapid trouble free labor”.
I would have to oppose that comment the delivery seemed lengthy and excruciating to me.
Papa who is my father waited with me the entire time including while I was just going thru contractions and had to wait until the doctors said it was time. I felt so awful for him, when it was all over he was so exhausted. It was the best seeing my dad’s face watching his first Grandchild being born. He stayed next to me and told me when the machine was saying I was having a contraction, like I didn’t know.
Aunt Jamie, My Mother, My Father, and Her Father were there for the birth.
They were all so very delighted to watch Madison being born. Her Father Russell was smart and stayed back out of the way and didn’t say a word. It was great to have My Mother and Father there for their first grandchild’s birth. My parents have three children and I am the only girl so this was most likely there only opportunity to see a child being delivered. We all knew that this was something so special and everyday her beautiful face reminds me how lucky I really am.
This is the best thing that ever happened to me by far even if it was not planned. There is no way I would change a thing. She came into my life for a reason and I will keep believing that until I found out otherwise.
