I am proud to be an American. This song has constantly been close to my heart. I have household that has served in the military past and present. I pray every day that our service guys and women are home safe in their beds at night. For those that have actually needed to go overseas and serve, it is difficult on them and their families. The time they spend away from their households in order to safeguard us is often not thought of.
This song represents the males and women who serve our country and the sacrifices they make. This tune portrays how we as Americans must represent our country, soldiers or not. We need to be happy to be Americans and represent our nation in the very best possible way. It also shows that we need to be there for each other, to stand beside each other and to do what is right. If only all Americans could have the bond for each other that our soldiers have, we would be a far better country.
They combat next to each as brothers and sis for our nation and secure our rights.
In the Declaration of Independence it states that all men are created equal and they should have the right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Our service men and women fight to serve our country in order for each one of us to have these rights and to be able to live our lives to the fullest each and every day.
Yet when the soldiers return, they are often not given the respect they deserve. We as a nation need to come together and support them for the service they have given our country. We as Americans should not take things for granted. We should all be responsible for taking care of our soldiers and our country.
