Relaxation Techniques in My Behaviour

I believe if I follow "relaxation techniques" as per my plan and strategies I can get rid of "cracking-knuckles" There are so many features that differentiate to one's personality starting from childhood, either it would be good or bad. I have several of habitual behaviour habits that I to change. I would like to talk about my habitual behaviour of "cracking -knuckles" I feel I have an annoying habit which is more noticeable special by others. I tried to get rid of this couple of times but can't control when I feel pain in my fingers as I doing from the past 2 years approximately 7-10 times per day.

I have noticed that I do this more whenever I am frustrated or tired I punish myself by hurting my fingers.

I remember My parents always yell at me to make me stop doing this, by saying the consequences which can lead to larger finger nodes and none of the rings will or they say that sound irritate others especially when someone sits beside you in societal environment, like, relative home, religious places were you will get the evil look and that habitual behaviour will not be acceptable in the outer world.

Moreover, you will have a joint problem as you grow up as older.by all this I just feel to do it because that sound relaxed my mind.

I don't remember when did I started, once I just did it for any of the reasons it was so easy to keep on doing that sound just clicks to my mind, the first time it was so painful but laterally I just start enjoying it.

Initially, I was doing it when I got confused in my thought processing, due to my exams-stress, nervous while expressing ideas. Eventually, I like the popping sound it makes me feel so relaxed especially when I am tense. I do by bending my finger backward, forward or by stretching them and know I just do while sitting ideal.

Now as doing for so long, I feel the urge to doing it. I feel my finger is stiff, tiredness if I don't do. Sometimes it is automatic- reflex which is happening in my subconscious mind until other people realized me before I feel satisfied doing so even that I know that I have an annoying habit that makes me so embarrassed, especially when there is silent in class and I am still playing with my fingers. I know cracking my finger habit isn't actually appreciated, but I can't help I just feel the necessity of doing in my mind. Now, I consider it to be a problematic behaviour to me and I would really like to quit by making strategies and reinforce myself to implementing it.
