For the purpose of this study, an Auto Supply Shop, Uno Auto Supply, was chosen as the focus. Uno Auto Supply, established in 2000 by Mr. Larry Lazo, operates at 253 Mayon Street, Quezon City, offering a wide array of auto parts, accessories, and related services.
With an initial capital of Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P 500,000.00), the company quickly recouped its investment within a year. The establishment also boasts a dedicated warehouse located in proximity to the main facility, efficiently managing its product stocks.
Despite its success, Uno Auto Supply confronts challenges in the realm of recording and tracking sales and inventory. The traditional method of recording product details in a columnar notebook has proven to be susceptible to errors. Instances of misplaced or accidentally discarded records by authorized personnel further compound the issue.
Another significant concern is the potential for miscalculations in determining the quantity of products sold or remaining in the establishment. This situation can lead to inconsistencies in the records and, consequently, impact the overall management of the business.
Recognizing the pressing need for a more efficient system, the researchers proposed an automated solution tailored to address Uno Auto Supply's specific challenges. The client, Mr. Larry Lazo, readily embraced the plan, demonstrating a willingness to actively participate in every phase of the research and implementation process.
