This organization is well known as Salvation Army. The complete mission statement says, ‘‘The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.’’

It is this last part, ‘‘meeting human needs...without discrimination,’’ which most closely connects the purposes of The Salvation Army with the purposes of the United Nations.

Today the Salvation Army still operates in more than 130 countries around the globe. Including hospitals, donation centers, disaster services, rehabilitation centers, community centers, and thousands of voluntary contributions centers throughout the world” (History of salvation Army, n.d.). This organization stakeholders are employees, Government, Volunteers, Donors, other non- profit organizations, Funders, Churches and Members, Media, Armed Forces, UK National Lottery, The Public, Competitors, Clients/ Consumers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Religious Groups, Individual Government bodies and the council.

The Salvation Army honors in providing millions of families that are less fortunate with essentials for everyday life. Middle class families have joined the cause to help people within their community. For instance, by donating clothes, monetary donation, volunteer time by opening their hearts and give what they can, be little or nothing; would create a gigantic difference to those who are less fortunate. Throughout the centuries, the Salvation Army continues to a successful organization because the ability to provide a helping hand to everyone that is in need. Adding to the social services to their community salvation army officers acknowledged that persons with chronic alcoholism could benefit from a rigorous residential treatment regime that addressed several domains within the client system. Realizing that nearly 75% of their clients had arrived at their doorsteps due to family troubles, Salvation Army programs adopted an ecosystems-like perspective to services that focused on employment; education; physical, behavioral, and spiritual health; and criminality.

This non-profit organization remain committed to employees and their mission to support clients through a robust human relations model. The organization religion-based service provide aim to transform lives. Therefore, their efforts to use mechanism to working closing with other entities (ex. United Nations) have become a positive outcome with their organization goal and mission. This organization aim to displays their collaboration, community outreach efforts by providing social resources throughout the world. It is to show that their work it is to serve public purpose. The Salvation Army, however, is a church and will express itself as such. Its soldiers are Christians, and they will express themselves as such. For the most part, The Salvation Army finds that, when it participates with other groups, its Christian faith, expressed as grace and mercy and a willingness to go the extra mile, engenders hope.

This makes it possible to engage around issues, like peace, HIV/AIDS and anti-trafficking. To deal with these issues, the whole of global society needs to become engaged with the solution. This is where partnerships such as the one between The Salvation Army and the United Nations become invaluable. What I have learned from the application of various theoretical practices is that transparency and accountability work in hand to hand for an organization to growth and captive their stakeholders. According to Tremblay-Boire and Prakash is a multidimensional concept that includes reporting information, enabling stakeholder participation, evaluating performance (both internally and externally), and responding to stakeholder concerns.

It provides a sense of integrity and reputation to their organization. The organization must understand the statement of values to help attract valuable employees, retain donors and ensure that all transactions are aligned with the goals and mission of the organization. It creates a positive workplace culture. These factors will be gain by providing realistic information in their organization website, give overview of usage of government funding, visible community outreach efforts and contribute to be a partner with other non-profit organizations to enhance resources to those in need. Overall, non-profit organizations play an essential role in building healthy communities all over the world. Their mission must seek to benefit the society.

However, these organization must accord with the complexity of external and internal resources to survive. A strategic planning in an organization process should be address to identify long-term goals and to put into practice. This means that accountability in all aspects within their organization must represent positive outcomes. Therefore, the importance to innovative tools such as internet or social media that will disclose accountability information is a plus. Internet-based technologies are increasingly providing citizens with the ability to gain access to information they deem important. At the same time, these technologies have led to an increased ability of organizations to disclose financial and operational information. In short, with the diffusion of Internet technology, there is both an increased need as well as ability to use the web to address organizational accountability.
