Macduff states, “Despair thy charm, And let the angel whom thou still hast served tell thee, Macduff was from his mother’s womb untimely ripped” . After realizing that Macduff had not born, but ripped from his mother’s womb made Macbeth feel anxious and realized what he has done and how he has been tricked by the witches, but instead he realises that it is useless and so he fights on only to be slain. All in all, Macbeth shows progression throughout the play by acting perplexed, simple-minded, evil and his own conscience.

Lady Macbeth’s identity alternated from the persuasiveness to remorseful. Lady Macbeth begins to read the letter from Macbeth; and as she reads, she begins to start talking about evil spirits in order to make herself feel evil. She states, “They met me in the day of success, and I have learned by the perfectest report they have more in them than mortal knowledge. When I burned in desire to question them further, they made themselves air, into which they vanished. Whiles I stood rapt in the wonder of it came missives from the king, who all-hailed me 'Thane of Cawdor,' by which title, before, these weird sisters saluted me, and referred me to the coming on of time with 'Hail, king that shalt be!' This have I thought good to deliver thee, my dearest partner of greatness, that thou might’st not lose the dues of rejoicing, by being ignorant of what greatness is promised thee. Lay it to thy heart, and farewell.” Glamis thou art, and Cawdor; and shalt be what thou art promised. Yet do I fear thy nature; it is too full o' th' milk of human kindness to catch the nearest way: thou wouldst be great, art not without ambition, but without the illness should attend it. What thou wouldst highly, that wouldst thou holily; wouldst not play false, and yet wouldst wrongly win. Thou'ld’st have, great Glamis, that which cries, “Thus thou must do,” if thou have it, and that which rather thou dost fear to do, than wishest should be undone. Hie thee hither, that I may pour my spirits in thine ear, and chastise with the valor of my tongue all that impedes thee from the golden round, which fate and metaphysical aid doth seem to have thee crowned withal” (Ⅰ.ⅴ.1-29). Lady Macbeth was delighted when Macbeth delivers the news that the witches prophecy was true and realizes she wants more. Throughout the play she has exerted dominance over Macbeth and even calls him a “coward”. This shows how determined she is and how much hope she has for her husband. Without Macbeth hesitation, she uses her influential words control Macbeth.

The gentlewoman, and the doctor were in discussion about Lady Macbeth’s condition of sleepwalking until it was interrupted by disturbed Lady Macbeth. She states, “To bed, to bed! There’s knocking at the gate. Come, come, come, come, give me your hand! What’s done cannot be undone. To bed, to bed, to bed!” . During this time in the play Lady Macbeth had gone insane and these lines are the final words she utters in the play. The knowledge behind the death of Duncan, Banquo, and the family of Macduff has crushed her strong and dominating personality by reminding her of all the guilt. Due to all the guilt caused by her and Macbeth, she cannot unravel the damage that she already has done which in the end let her to suicide. In conclusion, Lady Macbeth was blinded by the thought of being queen, which caused her personality and character change analysis from being influential to feel sorrow and guilt.
