L. Frank Baum was a prolific and imaginative author, best known for his classic children’s book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. He wrote over 60 books in total, many of them fantasy stories featuring unusual and magical settings. His work was often criticized for being too fanciful and unrealistic, but Baum himself always insisted that his stories were meant to be enjoyed for their entertainment value, not to be interpreted as allegories or moral lessons.
