According to the novel it states, “For you a thousand times over!’ he said. Then he smiled his Hassan smile and disappeared around the corner “ (Hosseini, 67). This shows Hassan can be displayed as loyal because he would do anything for Amir even if it meant he had to sacrifice himself. Furthermore, the novel states, “He was there in the hand-washed and ironed clothes on the cane-seat chair, in the warm slippers left outside my door, in the wood already burning in saw signs of his loyalty, his goddamn unwavering loyalty” (Hosseini, 89). This shows Hassan can be displayed as loyal because he would still clean and do housework even though he was recovering from his trauma of being sexually assaulted by Assef. This demonstrates Hassan can be displayed as loyal because he would do anything for Amir no matter what. Hassan isn’t only loyal, but he’s also a hard worker.

Finally, Hassan can be displayed as a hard worker because he would work around the house all day, for he couldn’t go to school. According to the novel it states, “During the chill year, we had a daily routine...Hassan stayed home and helped Ali with the day's chores: hand-washing dirty clothes and hanging them to dry in the yard, sweeping the floors, buying fresh naan from the bazaar, marinating meat for dinner, watering the lawn” (Hosseini, 27). This proves Hassan can be displayed as a hard worker because he would help Ali do housework instead of going to school; Amir was able to go to school and not do housework. In addition, the novel states, “I woke up to find toasted bread, brewed tea, and a boiled egg on the kitchen table. My clothes for the day were ironed and folded, left on the cane-seat chair in the foyer where Hassan usually did his ironing” (Hosseini, 67 pdf). This shows Hassan can be described as a hard worker because he didn’t let the incident get in the way of doing his work around the house. This demonstrates Hassan can be portrayed as a hard worker because he would do housework even though he was trying to get over his trauma.

Overall, Hassan can be described as brave, loyal, and a hard worker. To summarize, Hassan would stand up for Amir no matter what, Hassan would also do anything for Amir, and Hassan would do housework while Amir went to school. Therefore, many people in someone’s life can be described in many positive ways due to their actions and responsibilities.
