Goals Essay Examples

Essays about goals

A short term is something you want to do in the near future. The near future can mean today, this week, this month, or even this year. A short-term goal is something you want to accomplish soon. Mid-term goals usually happen after you’ve graduated college, secured a job, and really started a job you like but before you start dreaming about your career and your day-to-day retirement schedule for when your working career is over. A long-term goal is something you want to do further in the future. Long-term goals require time and planning. They are not something you can do today or this week or even this year. Long-term goals usually take several years or more to achieve.

These two things will determine which is the bad and which is the good within the statement. However, according to my research, there seems…...

Finishing College and Short-Term Goals

There are many types of goals in life, but I will take it one step at a time. First off, let me start with my short-term goals. Currently, I hope to graduate from college within three years. I plan to get my AA in Administration of Justice so I can further improve my chances for my long-term goals. Also, I hope in my time in college I can lose some weight so that I can further pursue my goals that require me to be in a better physical shape. Also, I hope to be able to find a short-term job that hopefully I will enjoy and can help me sustain financial success while in college.

Next, I would like to talk about my midterm goals. Firstly after college, I’d like to pursue a job in the Air Force. It was always a dream of mine to join the Military but it wasn’t till only a few months ago that I had decided on the Air Force. I hope for a job in the Military Police faction of the Air Force. Hopefully, I can get stationed overseas, preferably in Japan or South Korea. I have always wanted to visit there.

My Long-Term Career Goals

Now for me to talk about my long-term goals. Firstly After I get out of the Air Force I’d like to move out of California as it is getting too expensive to live here and find a job in law enforcement. Secondly, I hope I can move to a sparsely populated state like Montana, Idaho, or the Dakotas. I always liked living around small populations. Wherever I end up moving to I hope to get a job as a police officer or a sheriff’s deputy really whichever one would pay better would be best. Hopefully, I can work for twenty plus years, and then I’d like to open a sports bar. Many of my family members have run businesses and I feel like I’d have a knack for it.

Now for what I am doing currently to accomplish said goals. For my short-term goal I am proud to say that I am doing well in all my classes and will continue to do so until I graduate. My midterm goal heavily relies on my objective to get into better physical shape, which I try to accomplish by eating healthier and going to the gym six days a week. Unfortunately, accomplishing my long-term goals will be more difficult, however, I am doing well in AOJ but I cannot predict which state or city I will be living in to study the police jobs in the area.

Now, these are the goals that I hope I can do with my life. I know it will be hard and there will be plenty of obstacles in my way. But I have always been one to accept a challenge and greatly look forward to overcoming said challenge. I hope that after reading this I have enlightened you to all my goals to your liking. I will continue to work hard to achieve my goals and will hopefully accomplish them soon.
