Compare and contrast the education system in Saudi Arabia with UK

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) upholds the principle that the best investment a nation can make is in its human resources. Based on this belief, the Kingdom has made tremendous efforts to devote all possible resources to the development and improvement of its educational system. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the right to education is guaranteed to everyone. In fact, the state encourages people to enroll in any part of the education system by providing financial aid and rewards to students.

The changes that have happened in the past few years have occurred very recently. The population in KSA has increased compared to the past years of my grandfather’s generation. Therefore, the economy of knowledge emphasizes primarily continuous human development. The changes are obviously evident through these years in KSA, even when compared with other countries, such as the USA. Lifestyles and other human needs have changed over time. Education in the past few years has changed significantly because of the development my country is making.

In addition, my grandfather’s stories were about how the class was, and how education has changed a lot since they were young until they saw the changes now.

For example, in the past, the schools had one building and a few classes all over the city. However, the schools now have many buildings that are divided into elementary, intermediate, and secondary school buildings. In the classes, there were few students and no chairs to sit on to focus. Development needs motivation from individuals and the government.

The education system in the past was very difficult to understand, and the teachers had limited access to information. Today, teaching is much easier, and the human mind has been augmented with the new technologies we use today. Statistically, the number of students in KSA has increased in the past 10 years by approximately 56 percent, especially for those pursuing Masters and PhD degrees.
