Why Syrian Refugees Should Be Allowed in the United States

Allowing Syrian refugees into the United States is a very controversial topic at this time. The risk of terrorism is the biggest reason why so many people in the United States would not allow them. Many people in the United States believe that every Syrian is a terrorist. This is not true because the people causing the terrorism is the group ISIS. To be allowed into the country I believe that people should be properly screened. And checked to see they were ever linked to any terrorist group before.

These reason make me believe that The United States should accept Syrian refugees into the country.

One reason that the United States could allow the people into the country is by having more protected screening. The admission process would be very long but it would allow the country to be more secure. The process is already used but it is not as protected as it. According to the Associated Press, Homeland Security would have to process each individual refugee so they would not pose a threat to the country. Although that the process would take a very long time, the country would be more secure. Another reason why the United States should allow Syrian refugees into the country is that rejecting them would help the Islamic State. Refusing the refugees would help ISIS because the group would try to spread their ideas towards many of the people that have been rejected. The Associated Press wrote "The group's dream is to establish an Islamic State shaped after their own beliefs.

They are using violence and fear to advance those ends."

This tells that many of the Syrian people are forced to join their beliefs. Overall, Syrian refugees should be allowed into the country. For several reasons, one being that the refugees are properly screened. Another reason would be that allowing them would not help ISIS because it would reduce the amount of people that join them. These reasons are why I believe Syrian refugees should be allowed into the United States.
