In today’s society people have developed a characteristic of extravagance, which is causes the pollution and dirty environments. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran, verse number 31 chapter 7, “O Children of Adam! Look to your adornment at every place of worship, and eat and drink, but be not prodigal. Lo! He loveth not the prodigals. (31) In this verse Allah (SWT) is telling the children of Adam, does not matter if muslim or not, that eat and drink but do not be prodigal or extravagant because He, Allah (SWT), does not like the extravagant. Pollution in the environment started a couple hundred years ago, and one of the main factors is extravagance.

So Allah (SWT) told the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and the people 1400 years ago, to stay away from extravagance. Many people today are extravagant in every transaction, whether it be a slipper or it be a house. Most of the time when people are extravagant they start wasting. Then they start taking the natural resources for granted, and start to invent or use less natural stuff which causes the atmosphere and the land to start polluting. If slowly we start reusing or recycling these items we could potentially save thousands of people around the world. Plastic, a substance that is used everywhere around us.
