People have different preferences in their lifestyle. Some choose to live in the suburbs, while others would rather live in the city.
Their choices may be due to a number of reasons, some of which are usually personal. Living in the suburbs or in the city is upon the discretion of the individual.
Suburb living has always been accounted for as better living. According to the Real Estate website (2008), bigger and reasonably-priced houses are up for grabs in the suburbs, in comparison to that of the city.
In addition to this, living in the suburbs will promote more time for family gatherings. With the cozy environment, even the neighboring people are acquainted with each other. This promotes a healthy relationship among the community, who will be of great help in the future.
The people who live here have more time to spend with their family and friends, than with work. At the same time, a healthier lifestyle is promoted in the suburbs than in the city. This may be attributed to the fact that the population of those who live in the suburbs is smaller than those who live in the city. Their lifestyle is simple with a reasonable cost of living. The people are more laid back, which results in a slower-paced lifestyle, as compared to that of city living.
However, living in the city also has its advantages. Aside from the honking cars and the busy streets, people here are considered to be more “hardworking”. With the business sectors and industrial companies dwelling in the city, more people are employed in their specializations.
To counter the earlier argument, there are also disadvantages in living in the city. As compared to the suburbs, living in the city can be more dangerous. With the population continuously increasing, the city is becoming more crowded as time passes by. The higher cost of living may also be attributed to the population problems.
Others perceive that living in the city is better than in the suburbs. This is due to the fact that more job opportunities are available, ranging from blue collared jobs to the white collared jobs. Name it, they have it. This results in the people, especially those who lack education, to still grow and survive in this fast, changing world. They are encouraged to work, and and earn more money that can help in their economic upheaval.
