Fairy tales have been told with teaching a lesson. The stories have been told numerous times, while changing the script plenty of times. Rapunzel was published in the mid-1800s. Several years later Disney had released its own version of fairy tales in which one was called Tangled, it was a modern version of Rapunzel, Cinderella was published and released in 2010.

Rapunzel and Tangled both have the Mother Gothel in the story which has altered their characters. In both stories the Mother Gothel takes Rapunzel from her mother and her father at the same time.

There are some plots between the fairy tale Rapunzel and Tangled, which includes Rapunzel had an evil sorceress named Gothel, which imprisoned Rapunzel to go to the tower, and the only way to escape was by climbing or sliding down her long hair.

A prince overheard her singing and fell in love with her and when they finally was able to meet each other they planned to get married. Gothel found out what was happpeng so he cut her hair off and vanished away and takes Rapunzel with him, which made her very upset and alone. Finally the prince found out, she cured him from being blind and they returned to the kingdom to live a long and happy life. In Tangled, it was expanined with the magical of Rapunzel's hair, and had the ability to be able to cure her sickness and prevent her from getting older. The learned lesson in Tangled is different than Rapunzel because it has a more strong willed character.

The alternative is that when you have a dream, nobody should stop at nothing until it can comes true, Rapunzel had a dream to see the floating lanterns and she did everything in her power to make it come true. Rapunzel wanted to chase after her dreams which later in life she was able to just that.

In conclusion the story of Rapunzel has more modern version than Tangled with the characters, plot, and in which lessons were learned throughout both. In these fairy tales different things were adjusted in order to fit the needs of the current viewers in which they were told and the older ones were fit in today's society then compared to the modern telling of the stories which fit today's culture.
