The Economic reward has been used for their retention strategy, employee will be awarded with periodic stock grants for their contribution to the company, thus, it is an opportunity for the employee to create wealth and realize individual accomplishment and retirement. They encourage their employee to shift from one manufacturing department to another so that the employee will become an experts in all activities and to prepare themselves for upcoming projects.

Training and development which enabling organization flexibility

Apple applied a unique training approach in order the employee equipped with the right skills for the job. Alternative Recruiting Strategies and MethodsIt is easy for Apple Inc. to attract new employees to apply and work with their company since Apple Inc. is the world best-known company. However, it will be difficult for them to choose best fit to join their company as they will received many job applicants.

There are several recruiting strategies that Apple Inc. can apply to hire best fit which is by using Hiring events and Third Party methods.

Hiring Event

A hiring event is also known as Job fair, career expo, career fair or a recruiting event. By combining the strategies of recruitment with an event, a company could attract the best talented candidates from different backgrounds.

One of the benefits by joining the hiring event is that the employers has the chance to meet job seekers in person, this will be the opportunity for them to observe and assess potential applicants in a face to face environment. Furthermore, they give companies access to large numbers of qualified candidates, this will give employers the chance to recruit employees who are educated in specific areas.

By joining hiring event this would make the screening process faster as well as shorter time to hire because the HR associates and hiring managers can talk one on one with the job seekers who attend the event, this can be a substitute for initial phone interviews.

Third party methods include the use of private employment agencies, management consultants, professional bodies/associations, employee referral/recommendations, voluntary organizations, trade unions, data banks, labor contractors etc., to establish contact with the job-seekers.

Employee Referrals

One of the best third party methods that Apple Inc. could use is by using Employee Referrals and Recommendations by current employee regarding someone whom they knew and can fulfills the qualification for the vacant positions. The recommender will gives the applicant realistic information about the job. Employee referral programs definitely motivate a company's employees and contacts to source or suggested a potential candidates for vacancies from their own networks but usually in exchange for rewards or compensation.

Through referral programs, employers can create a group of candidates who are best suited for the job. In fact, when seeking candidates through employee referrals, the quality of the candidates is always high.

Candidates that are hired through referral programs are most likely to be consider as great performers because they already pre-qualified by the referrer and better suited for specific jobs. Other than that, it can reduce work load and saves time, strengthens the relationship with the existing employees, boosts the employer brand and increase the employee retention rate.

The cost will also be reduced in the referral recruitment methods. It will save a huge fortune on advertising, job fairs, employment agencies, etc. because Initial screening is already done by the employees. If the employees keeps on suggested poor quality candidates, then it shows that the employees doesn't have much of a judgment power. It might also affect the employee's career as well, this would avoid them to referring someone who is unsuitable for the job. If there are some positions that are hard to fill through other channels, then can definitely try the employee referral program.

Employee Referrals are the most effective and successful methods of sourcing and hiring candidates (see fig.1)

In the recruitment policy, Apple does not really choose their employees based on their skills and experience, they rather choose a person who can easily fit into the organizational culture. Apple mostly hires from internal sources. This will give employees chances to enhance their skills since Apple Inc. provides on-the-job training.

According to CareerBuilder, a strong work ethic was clearly one of the most qualities that hiring managers look for in a candidate. About 73% of respondents want to see applicants demonstrate their ability to work hard. Candidates who set high goals for themselves, or respond well to stretch goals from supervisors, indicate a willingness to do more than clock in and clock out every day

Good communication skills

Good communication is an important tool in order to achieve productivity and to maintain strong working relationships in every organizations. This can build trust among employees which leading to increasing in productivity, output and morale. Meanwhile, employees who communicate effectively with colleagues, managers and customers are always valuable assets to an organisation and it is a skill which can often set people apart from their competition when applying for jobs.

Team player

Group effort within a group can help solve difficult problems. Brainstorming is a good opportunity for the team to exchange ideas and come up with creative ways of doing things.
