Reaction Paper on Exhibition In School

It was not my first time to go in an exhibit but it is my first time to see an exhibit that has full of inventions, products and some species. When our teacher told us about the upcoming trip to CSU Carig she told us to see and observe all the inventions over there, I was wondering about the inventions at that day. I was very excited about it that I could not even concentrate in our class discussion. When that day came, I woke up early because I’m too excited to go on that exhibit.

My classmates and I waited for almost 3 hours for the next trip to CSU Carig. While we were in the jeep I’m so quiet because there are lot of thoughts coming in my mind. Finally we arrived in CSU Carig, my heart beats fast, I couldn’t concentrate. I am so eager to go inside the gym. When it is time for us to go inside the gym, I was amazed on the inventions posted in every part of the gym.

As a first timer to go in an exhibit full of inventions, products and some species, I was amazed to the Red Nile Tilapia. I can’t get my eyes through with it because it is a mutant breed of Nile tilapia compared to most red tilapia which originated from the Mossanbique tilapia. While it is breeding true, there red color pattern genetic selection and cross breeding are being done to improve its growth and color.

The most amazing part of it is it increased production in ponds from 3 tons to 5 tons/ha/yr and produced offspring with faster growth 1o.7 to 22% higher than the pure strain.

Reflection

Technology is a one simple word with great meaning. Help us in our daily lives. Help us to do work easier. But without any help of our great scientists or researchers this technology won’t help our country to progress. We can’t experience the life we are having today.

What I learned from our trip to CSU Carig Campus was that even though you are not a scientist or a researcher as long as your knowledge is enough for you to help our country to progress you are free to share your idea. I also learned that there is no age limit in discovering something that doesn’t exist. Some projects that are posted in the exhibit were made out of the materials that came from nature that are common. Scientists or researchers are truly great. They discovered lots of thing that helps our country to progress. But that doesn’t mean that we should only depend on our scientists or researchers today but we ourselves should start discovering simple things that might help our country to progress.
