I have recently read your article ‘Stuff the Tiger – long live extinction’ and disagree strongly with the views you put forward. Your arguments are unjustified and the examples you use to demonstrate are faulty and contradicting to each other . In this article, you have mentioned how extinction doesn’t have any impact on mankind. Also, your opinions were based upon natural extinction and Darwin’s theory of the survival of the fittest instead of human intervention. I would like to address what I believe to be the main problems with these arguments in a way that would help enhance the understanding of the motivation and purpose of conservation work.
Biologists estimate that the rate of extinction is at least 1000 to 10000 the rate before humans were seen on planet earth.
This shows man-kinds impact upon nature and us humans are responsible for it, We as an understanding species should address this situation, By not knowing the difference between the concept of natural selection and humanity’s hand in shaping the environment would allow your conclusion to continue, What I believe the main problem is the way humans think of this and the way they react to it.

If a predator becomes extinct the prey might overrun an ecosystem. If a prey animal becomes extinct then the predators will starve it is all intertwined together, to make life balanced and we should not change the way of life is and we are tipping the weight at the other hand of the scale and makes it go out of control and when things are not in order they are in chaos.
You also stated that “there are plenty more fish in the sea” and assumed that since there are a lot of other animals that exist, it wouldn’t matter if one was wiped out off the face of Earth. This phrase does not apply to this situation because each and every animal is unique and plays their special part in the ecosystem and also the environment.

They might not have jobs with few options available to support their families; these people may turn to illegal hunting, and crimes. Farming in distant areas further increases these threats to wildlife and wild lands Due to that the COMACO program has authorized for locals to learn new trades, like, honey farms, Farming, wood works, and craftworks and In addition, it has reduced the tens of thousands of traps and shootings out of the wild, saving equally large numbers of wild and endangered animals and also saving the poor locals to get money. Animals are creatures that are a part of the eco-system, not as Clarkson thinks ‘as irrelevant as the death of a faraway star’. They have their right to live as we have ours. All creatures have their own purpose and we don’t decide whether they live or die. As the most developed and dominant species, it is job to make sure that nature is preserved.
I see that it is unfair for us to kill tigers, People kill tigers for illegal money and that Extinction is a bad thing. Especially extinction caused by humans as it makes us 7 billion humans each and everyone of us responsible, it means that you as a person with a high status should be helping out and act a role model and people will follow by reducing pollution by not littering, recycling paper to reduce the amount of wood cut down by deforestation, as saving the world little by little and every little helps recover and speeds the healing process of the wounded planet.
I would like you to understand that nothing can replace a space of a species that becomes extinct and once a species is gone, it is gone forever and we cannot do anything to bring it back, it is too late for some species to come back but while some are endangered and have some hope to cling on to then we need to support instead of bring its early demise.
