Important Problem of Today's Society is Unemployment

There are many problems in society right now. Some of these problems can be solved easily or cannot be solved depending on how bad they are. Many people believe that these problems should be resolved by governments as they are responsible. I believe that the one problem of today's society is unemployment. Unemployment, also known as joblessness, is a situation in which people lack jobs and are still actively seeking jobs.

Unemployment is a vulnerable issue that both the government and citizens are very concerned about.

It not only affects the person himself, but also the whole family. Some people are dealing with losing a job just as they deal with a divorce or a loved one's death. Unemployment can cause stress, anxiety, fear and depression. It creates low self - esteem and makes you feel isolated.

Overview:

The unemployment rate has increased dramatically in recent months. For the American people, this increase has created many complications. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics rating the unemployment to about 11.3 billion people.

In the United States the economy created over 7 million jobs, but there’s a long way until the economy returns.

Employment growth is a relief, but with the percentage that is still unemployed, and the billions of dollars of debt created, our economy is still not growing. Before our economy becomes stable, we have a lot of work to do in order to help other people become more confident. President Obama organized a $819 billion stimulus package to keep the unemployment rate below eight percent, but it increased to ten percent at the end of 2009.

Background of the Study:

Following the veto of two social reform bills, President Bill Clinton signed the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act on this day in 1996. The law substantially reconstructed the nation's welfare system by giving state governments more sovereignty over welfare services while still reducing the role of the federal government.

In order to improve the well- being of the poor, the welfare system should promote marriage rather than penalize it and promote employment rather than idleness. Far from punishing those who need help, this requirement would go hand in hand with unemployed or underemployed people to ensure they receive the education or training they need to compete on the market today. Before its passage in 1996, the nation's welfare program included 12.6 million Americans.

Today, welfare remains at 2.8 million - a 77 percent decline. PRWORA expired on September 30, 2002. With the massive burden of congressional business in the fall of 2002, Congress failed to meet the deadline for the decision to re - authorize the law. Congress has repeatedly extended the law at current levels of funding. The debates on the revision of the law will therefore also be extended until Congress can agree on a bill. Since the enforcement of the law, Congress has carried out several important federal restorations in the Food Stamp and Supplementary Security Income Program for non - citizen but the eligibility rules for TANF and Medicaid remain in accordance with PRWORA's legislation.

Solution:

In search of 'greener pastures,' many people voluntarily quit their jobs. The cause of this trend is growing unhappiness at work. One of the most effective methods of combating rising unemployment is to limit the number of people who leave jobs in order to find better jobs. By increasing the minimum wage rates, the government can achieve this. Many people in the country who leave jobs are looking for better - paid jobs. The increase in living costs has increased demand for better pay. Increasing people's minimum wages and successive salaries will ensure that people can cope with the rising cost of living. This will reduce the many cases of unemployment. Also, another way to stop unemployment is for the government to promote education to make sure that workers quit when the time is right. Many people end up unemployed because they left a job before they got another job. Education for these workers will only allow them to quit working after taking on another job. Education will also help to establish good employer and employee relations.

Motivation:

I believe that several measures should be taken to help improve and maintain the previous situation in the region: First, the government must find ways to alleviate the differences that aggravate the contradictions here between the county's multiple social levels. In addition, precautionary steps should be taken to prevent future brutal riots. Those who can and want to work should receive full support. The right to work should not be deprived. We all have a kind of social responsibility for each other. Employees are less likely to support social upheavals and tend to have fewer psychological problems and harmful habits. Unemployment is an indicator of the health and welfare of society as a whole.
