Equality is important because it is the reason the U.S. Government is so successful. Equality is also the reason that the U.S. is a country that everyone wants to live in because of the equal chances you get. Equality means that everyone no matter race, religion, or gender has equal chances at succeeding at one goal and that they are all equal. The citizens in America are more focused on equality than anything else at this moment because they want everyone to be treated equally.

This is describing that her daughters had equal chances just like other Americans. It also shows that they are treated as equals to everyone else.
