Analysis of Biblical Narrative
The initial response I had to my narrative Numbers 1:1-16 was that I found the narrative fairly strange and I was surprised that I had never heard the story before. I thought that it was interesting how hard God lashed out against Mariam for talking bad about Moses. Overall the story wasn’t extremely strange, but I do think that there was one part that was strange. When Moses asked God to heal Mariam God responded with, “Miriam would be disgraced…...

Rhetorical Analysis of Jonathan Edwards’s “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God”
Jonathan Edwards’s “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God” was intended to frighten people into believing that they were doomed for hell unless they expressed remorse for their sins, which would ultimately save them from hell. A Description of the Perfect Balance a Writer Can Write in an Essay in Wayne Booth’s The Rhetorical Stance
Determining the definition of rhetoric is complicated. How can one describe the use of words with words themselves? In his paper "The Rhetorical Stance," Wayne Booth describes the perfect balance that a writer can strike in an essay. The rhetorical stance involves equilibrium between the argumentative content of the essay, focus the intended audience, and development of the speaker's voice. Finding their elusive balance results in "effective communication," whereas their imbalance makes the writing “mere wasted effort” (Booth 141). Through…...

Capturing the Concept of Reality in the Writings
Reading and living are not the same thing…or are they? No matter how hard anyone tries, capturing reality is nearly unattainable. Types of Essay Writing
A definition essay explains what a term is and can either briefly or go into more complex about the intended topic. Definition essays are comprehensive paragraphs where an author explains a matter. As with all essays, a definition essay should first support, prove, and finally illustrate what a concept means to you and not the dictionary. Definition essays can be personal if you want to make it, and they are written in spatial order. Spatial order is used to get the reader to understand how individual points relate to one another by their physical location.
Definition writing plays a critical role in all workplace environments. As an Administrative Analyst, we are responsible for “Formulating and articulating action plans proactively and collaboratively.” (Jobapscloud.com, 2019) Being tasked with formulating action plans, the duties you might be responsible for is defining a workplace issue such as workplace bullying. To tackle defining this policy, you would start by defining the term and looking at the legal obligations for employers, and employees alike. You would need to make sure that the information that is used comes from reliable sources such as websites ending in .gov, or .org and not using Wikipedia, where users can easily cast their own spin. After clearly defining your policy you would need to work on procedures for reporting incidents and complaints. After these steps have been taken using the definition writing process can be used as policies and procedures that anyone can refer to for further clarification.
Process analysis technique of writing involves writing to give instructions on how to do something. Writing in chronological order is very important in this style because process analysis serves as a set of instructions so that the reader can perform the set of steps, upon reading. This style of writing needs to be specific enough so that whoever is reading will understand the order of steps that they need to take. These types of paragraphs serve as a blueprint that someone else will follow so it needs to be clearly stated so that the steps can be duplicated.
“ The strong communication skills and articulating each step is an essential part of the duties that an Administrative Analyst must adhere to. The County of Alameda states in their Example of Duties” the incumbent may perform Calls and notices Commission meetings in accordance with the LAFCo policies and procedures” (Jobapscloud.com, 2019). Process analysis style of writing is very important to an Administrative Analyst because the policies and procedures will be adopted by the county counsel and then go before the Board of Supervisors. So, one must make sure that they explain the procedures clearly so whoever is to follow procedures can duplicate the instructions.
Persuasive essays also known as argumentative essays are a style of writing to convince your audience of something. In this, a stance must be taken and unlike an expository essay where both points of the coin are presented. This type of writing allows you to express only your point of view. As well as with this type of writing when writing your body paragraphs, you are going to use evidence to support your argument. It is also imperative that you choose your words wisely because you are trying to convince others that might not necessarily agree with you.
Persuasive writing will be commonplace in this position because one will be faced with trying to convince both colleagues and superiors alike. In this style of writing one should start the writing with a strategy so that you can captivate the readers’ attention. To be effective one should set the bait out in order to bring in the reader in, and once the reader has been hooked to the line, the introduction of the issue should be stated, followed by taking a position. This writing should start upbeat, positive engaging, and then you can pull the rug from under the reader’s feet. You would then build upon your essay by challenging the status quo by using strong evidence to counter In order to be the most successful with this writing one must be able to anticipate with strong evidence.
In closing, writing is imperative to my future career goal as explained, previously. career and when writing the writer must always be aware of their audience and make sure that when writing they are able to convey a clear and concise message. All forms of writing depending on what your being tasked to do. So, no matter what career you choose from a Receptionist to an Administrative Analyst it is important that one can articulately define a definition essay if ask to put out a policy to further explain a term, such as a new company-wide dress code policy.
Effective writing on the job should be carefully planned, thoroughly researched, and clearly presented. One of the most important things when filling out either a job application, sending an email to executive management, as well as completing supplemental questions is to always know your audience. You can achieve this by asking yourself simple questions prior to writing, which includes, what are my audience’s expectation, as well as what do I want my audience to do after reading my work. These are just 2 questions of several that one must keep
By knowing why you are writing will help with the communication piece and therefore make the writing process a little simpler.
