Lee’s Biography
Lee was best known for being a general for the confederate state Robert E. Lee was born Jan. 19 1807 in Stratford, Virginia. Did you know that Lee grew up in a rich family? His dad was a Colonel so that may be why he grew up in a rich family. Lee grew up with mom Ann Carter and had four younger brothers’ three younger sisters. When Lee was 18 he went to West Point Military Academy. Lee completed without any demerits, which means he was a very good kid.
Lee was best known for being a general for the confederate states. Lee also defeated some the federal armies in the Civil War. I think it is pretty cool that Lee was Governor of Virginia, same as his dad was. He fought Battle of Getty’s Burg and Seized Union Arsenals in Harper Fairy. Because Lee did that it lead a union marine detach.
Lee was second in command Calvary Texas. It is very interesting Lee was a Veteran of the Mexican American War. I think it that a cool thing is that one of Lee’s relatives was a President. Another one of his relatives is a writer of the Constitution. Lee was married to the great granddaughter of Martha Washington.

In the last days of his life he worked for West Point. Lee died by the disease pneumonia. He was buried without his shoes because they could not find them when they went to bury his body
