Archimedes was a renowned mathematician, physicist, engineer, inventor, and astronomer. He was born in Ancient Greece in 287 BC and made significant contributions to science and mathematics. Archimedes is best known for his principle of buoyancy, which explains how objects float in water. He also developed several machines, including the screw pump, lever, and pulley system, which are still used today. Archimedes was known for his remarkable problem-solving abilities and his work in geometry is still studied by students around the world. He died in Syracuse, Sicily in 212 BC.
