Elise Marie Stefanik first stepped into this world on 2nd July 1984.

She was born to New York natives Melanie Stefanik and her husband Ken Stefanik. Elise grew up in Albany, New York where she attended the Albany Academy for Girls. After her graduation, she went on to attend Harvard University where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree in government in 2006. During her days at Harvard, Elise actively participated in school politics which earned her Women’s Leadership Award for her excellent leadership skills.

Political Career

Soon after her graduation from Harvard, Elise Stefanik started her career during President Bush’s administration. At the time, she worked as a staff to the Domestic Policy Council. Afterward, she served in the office of the White House Chief of Staff; as well as the communications director for the Foreign Policy Initiative. During the 2012 US Presidential Election, Elise worked as a policy director for Tim Pawlenty who served as the 39th Minnesota Governor. She equally managed Paul Ryan’s debate preparation for the same election. After Paul Ryan’s loss in the election, Elise returned to upstate New York to take care of her family’s plywood business situated in Guilderland Center.
