A Christian worldview is not just one’s personal faith interpretation, it is an all-consuming way of life. We believe in God; the creator of Heaven and Earth and everything good. Humans are created in the image of God. Jesus is the Son of God, he is truly man and truly God. Jesus Christ is Lord of all. We behave and act in certain ways because of our worldview. God is the center for all of our choices, actions, and decisions.
As a Christian, we must have a christ-centered life. We must have faith in order to be truly saved. As a believer, we have God on our side through all life’s trials and tribulations. Faith gives us Godly wisdom to know the right thing to do.
God is perfect in every way. God is good. “God is actually so good that He is the source of goodness; He alone is the rule and measure of what we truly know to be good.” (blueletterbible.org).
He is holy, righteous, true, faithful, gracious, and so rich in love. 1 John 4:8,16 “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God abides in him, and who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” God will never fail us. God is in control and we must put all of our faith into God. There is nothing God cannot do. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28. God is the sovereign creator of all things.
“God created everything good. God created all things good and in the beginning, all things were in the right relationship.”
Humans are created in the image of God; however, after the fall they became sinful by nature. Because humans are sinful by nature, humanity will behave in a sinful way. In Genesis 1-2, it is revealed that everyone sins. Something inside of everyone is untrustworthy from the very beginning. Humans are severely prone to sin. All people disobey God’s word and at times are ignorant of what they are doing. People refuse to recognize that they are doing wrong. The wrong small step is the easiest one to take. Doubting God’s command leads people further and further away from God. Human purpose is to believe, trust, and obey God even when we do not fully understand why. We are meant to put God in the center of our lives. God is the center for all of our choices, actions, and decisions. While God created all things, humans are the only creatures that God created in his image and that God breathed the breath of life into (Genesis 2:7) Humans were created to know and worship God by loving Him and obeying his commands (Jeremiah 9:23-24; John 14:15).
Jesus is the “image of the invisible God” (Colossians 1:15). Jesus is the Son of God. He is truly man and truly God. Jesus ministered to sinners and outsiders who were considered corrupt. Jesus is the only way of salvation. Salvation is all a work of God's free grace received by faith." We were reconciled to God by the death of his Son" (Romans 5:10). People must believe in Jesus Christ in order to be saved. Jesus took the punishment for everyone's sins. He offered himself as a sacrifice and died on the cross for our sins. Jesus occupies the center of the world in which a Christian lives. Without Jesus, there would not be Christianity, and without his life, death, and resurrection, there would not be Christians. (The Beginning of Wisdom) God made himself known personally and directly through Jesus Christ. As we become free from sin we become more and more transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
God's plan is to restore people to himself so that they might be fully reconciled to the right relationship that was dissolved due to sin. Christianity is more about what God has done rather than what we do, more about what God gives than what we earn, and more about a relationship than a religion. Christianity is about knowing and loving God while enjoying an amazing fellowship in his eternal family. We must have faith in God. We are only justified through grace. “For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” (Psalm 84:11). The Christian worldview does not view the human body as something sinful, but as a gift from God to be used for his service and glory. The fall had a devastating effect on all humanity and separated humanity from God. This should cause Christians to understand their complete need for reconciliation and redemption through the blood of Jesus Christ. (The Beginning of Wisdom).
As a Christian, you receive a personal connection with Jesus for life.“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit is sent from heaven to guide us in all things. He shows us our sins, and what we must do to overcome them, and then He gives us the power to do so. Jesus gives us strength when we feel that we may not have any. The Christian life can be characterized by faith, hope, and love. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,” (Galatians 5:22.) Wisdom is a matter of one’s identity, understanding, and way of living with God and others. For Christians, being wise requires faith. Faith is the redirecting of the human heart away from selfishness to selflessness, it is a fundamental restructuring of the human soul. (The Beginning of Wisdom). As we become more and more like Christ, our capacity to bless and serve others increases.
As Christian, we belong to Jesus. Not only does Christianity make us happy, but through it we also make those around us happy. It is easy to be happy and hopeful when everything in life is going well, but it is much harder when everything seems to be working against us. Jesus gives us the strength to face whatever may come our way. “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28. This is when we must have faith in God that our entire life is in God’s hands. We get eternal life in heaven, living forever in peace and happiness. “I am the resurrection and the life, He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26.)
A Christ-centered life is a life of happiness and peace. We must have faith in the lord to be fully saved. As Christian, we belong to Jesus. He gives us Godly wisdom to know the right thing to do.
