Ever since I started working as an educator 5 years ago, it has been my desire to expand my horizon when it comes to teaching. I knew for a fact that before, it was never my dream to become a teacher. I just wanted to become a flight attendant because I wanted to experience travelling around the world for free. However, my height did not allow me to do so. My parents told me to be a teacher since I really have a lot of relatives who are teachers, too.
Since I had no choice back then, I just agreed.
I started teaching right after a month of our graduation. At first, I was hesitant to accept the offer but heaven knows how accepting that job offer 5 years ago changed my views in teaching. It was actually one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I learned to enjoy teaching children. It was not just them learning from me, but I, learning from them as well.
It was a rewarding feeling whenever I saw them putting a smile on their faces whenever they understand the lessons well. Leaving them was really hard, but I had to quit my job to pursue my dream to expand my teaching experiences.
That’s the reason why I am here, applying for a job in Japan. We all agree that Japan is really a beautiful country with people who are much disciplined. I became interested in this country and I yearn for more.
I want to understand deeper of their culture and experience the life in Japan. I want to explore Japan as much as I want to explore teaching.
By living there, it would allow me to go out of my comfort zone and would put me in a self-reliant position. I would also be learning more about this beautiful country while pursuing what I love. I can even help my family financially while I’m enjoying teaching the children. I would have the chance to experience the life in Japan while doing the things that I want and need to do. I believe that teaching in Japan would make me become more mature and better person. Not just that, but also I believe that the combination of love for teaching, my developed skills, and the passion to teach and help the children will allow me to excel.
I would fulfill my dreams by living and working in Japan and believe that it would be one of the best decisions I would ever make.
