There are many different types of pollution that all affect our earth. There are five major pollutants, they are air pollution, water pollution, soil pollution, light pollution, noise pollution. The most harmful pollution is coal pollution. It is very harmful to humans and a study says that it causes heart disease. Pollution is causing many bad things to happen like global warming and burning of fossil fuels. Pollution is a substance already in an environment or a new substance whose concentration increases undesirable proportions causing danger to living organisms and materials.

Water pollution is very common and kills many animals that live in oceans,lakes, and rivers. Some of the liquids that are being found are sulfur, dioxide, acids, heavy medals, industrial solvent, iron, and steel. There is only 2.5 percent freshwater on earth when 70 percent of the earth’s surface is covered in water. Another interesting fact is that 15 million children under the age of five die every year because of drinking contaminated water.
