Recently, in the Middle East, the traffic noise pollution takes a big serious problem and has become on increasing over years. In addition, the author claims that the using horns is the main cause of traffic noise in the middle east. (Ghatass 2009) further shows that as a result government faces o lot of problems to solve the problem.
Noise Pollution
As there are many reasons of traffic noise, they will be a several solutions. This essay will discuss the problem of traffic noise pollution in the Middle East and it will propose and evaluate two potential solutions, which are building wider and multilayered streets prevent echo and exacerbation of noise pollution and planting and preservation of green space. It will then be followed by a critical assessment arguing that the initial solution is the most efficient solution in Middle East, after which the essay will arrive at a conclusion. One possible approach to reduce traffic noise pollution in the Middle East is building wider and multi-layered streets in order to prevent echo and exacerbation of noise pollution. As peoples and their motions, a lot of of them suggests for government to studying Ares, lands, and stations by building wider and multi-layered streets in order to prevent echo and exacerbation of noise pollution and recondition old roads. While using too many vehicles and cars is main causes of traffic noise pollution, building wider and multi-layered streets including all orders that could less on traffic noise as stated by (Al-qdah 2013). Furthermore, (Al-qdah 2013) believes that the government has to gives effort that will developed roads, steers, and highways.
Solutions
There are many advantages connected with this solution. One major advantage is that decreasing traffic noise and traffic cars which is lead to having clear environment as described by (Al-qdah 2013). The author added that big cities with organized streets can make noise disappears and reducing negative effects that came from traffic noise. In addition, perfect civil architecture can decrease traffic noise pollution as argued by (Al-qdah 2013). One the other hand, this solution could have several disadvantages. A main disadvantage is that government will cost money for new buildings and might facing risks (Al-qdah 2013). Another disadvantage is that building new highways will take a long time and that might government canceled all plans for getting new building (Al-qdah 2013). Additionally, (Al-qdah 2013) finds that building wider and multi-layered streets will take as a good solution in the middle east even there are a disadvantage.
Another potential solution that be effective is the planting and preservation of green space. The nature has influenced from harsh weather which lead to losing good green areas that will might be a solution to decreasing traffic noise. First, (Monazzam 2014) government shall put planning concepts for cities and recommendations for sustainable development of urban landscapes. Then, spread awareness to planting in the highways and improve soil suitable to reducing of noise pollution. There are many advantage associated whit this solution. According to (Monazzam 2014), one main advantage is that reducing air pollution and cleaning environments. In other words, when government take noise as a serious problem and working to get a good green space, which lead to better life for people and lees of physical and mental health. In addition, it will reducing traffic noise in high ways. Another advantage of planting and preservation of green space is adding beauty, for example, when high ways and streets having trees, which lead to amazing views on roads and also will increasing better health (Monazzam 2014).
Although the use of planting and preservation of green space has advantages, it has also disadvantages. One disadvantage of planting and preservation of green space is harsh weather (Monazzam 2014). In other word, in the middle east summer season longer than other seasons, which might be a negative impact for planting to get a green space. In addition, lack of arable soil and this is comes from less effort. Another disadvantage of planting and preservation of green space is lack of agriculture awareness, for example, Lack of agricultural activity on the main streets (Monazzam 2014). While both solutions definitely have a key role to minimize the problem of traffic noise pollution in the middle east, there are particular local aspects that could influence the efficiency of these solution.
For example, increase traffic noise about 73% in Alexandria area (Monazzam & karimi 2014). Moreover, traffic noise will affect human’s health if there is no good plans and strategy that comes from government to decreasing of traffic noise (Monazzam & karimi 2014). In addition, that the high noise levels that come from human mistakes by using horns every second without any reasons , which increase traffic noise (Ghatass 2009). In middle east, building wider and multi-layered would dramatically improve goodness of life and interest. For example, prevent echo and exacerbation of noise pollution (Al-qdah 2013). Also, decreasing traffic nose and have easy movement (Al-qdah 2013). In addition, countries in the middle east have many free lands to building new roads. In contrast , in the middle east there are several environmental and technological reasons that could make planting and preservation of green space less effective.
For instance, there is no effort come from government to planting in high ways and harsh weather. In addition, planting will take long time to have good reason to reduce noise problem. Furthermore, lack of agriculture awareness in areas(Monazzam 2014). In view of the above , it appears that preferred solution locally would be building wider and multi-layered streets. In conclusion, this essay has examined the problem of traffic noise pollution in middle east and has assessed two solutions, which are building wider and multi-layered streets and planting and preservation of green space while the two solution undoubtedly have a vital role in minimizing the strong concerns of the traffic noise pollution in middle east, the building wider and multi-layered is the favored strategy because of organized street and decreasing traffic noise.
There are some locally relevant recommendations that should considered. It is noteworthy to mention that drivers should committed to road regulations. Furthermore, the government should use smart method to avoid traffic noise. Moreover, increase awareness in all direction to covered it through rules, taxes, and campaigns. If good strategy absent will have increase on traffic noise, pollution, and dead environment. This is the future task of the engineering community in middle east and thus ultimately, prevention is better than cure.
