Life Challenges in Bud Not Buddy & Standford Commencement Speech

Life gives you many challenges. Life always seems to present us with innumerable challenges and problems on a daily bases, when were least expecting it. In the text Bud, Not Buddy, “If”, “Stanford University Commencement Address”, there's no doubt that they all have challenges of some sort thrown at them. They all share a common theme which is even through challenging moments never give up.

Steve Jobs (the author of “Stanford University Commencement Address”) tells graduates about rules he used in life to be able to achieve success.

He explains to them, “Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith.” For example, Steve Jobs lost his job from Apple all of a sudden; therefore he didn't let that destroy him. He found what he loved, which was his new company Pixar. Losing his Job was challenging for him. It didn't turn out the way he had planned, but Steve did not give up. He pushed through that difficult time by creating another successful company.

The author in "If” tells us live rules to have when there are struggling moments. The author explains, “And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!” For instance, when you are being bullied and someone says something cruel about your appearance, you're probably going to feel heartbroken, but there's something in you that says to never give up. When you are bullied it is a challenging time. So even when you're heartbroken, never give up.

There is no doubt that Bud didn't go threw a heap of tough times. We are introduced to rule #328 as Bud tries to thrive. Bud's rule explains, "When you make up your mind to do something, Hurry up and do it, if you wait you might talk yourself out of what you wanted in the first place. For sample, Bud is trying to kill a bat, but he doesn't want to let his decision to go away by waiting. Trying to succeed something and doubting yourself at the same time is challenging moment. Bud had to trust in himself to never give up.

Even through challenging moments never give up. Just because you lost your job, got bullied, and you doubt yourself, put all things behind you and go forward and don't lose faith. In the text Bud, Not Buddy, “If,” and “Stanford University Commencement Address” shows us to keep trying and never stop working for your goals. What would you do when a challenge comes your way?
