The components of opera are orchestra, chorus, aria, recitative, ballet, act and scenes, overture and libretto. Orchestra comprises of four instrumental families that is the strings woodwind, percussions and brass. Faul (2006). Other instrumental included in the Orchestra include piano harp and harps chord. A good example of orchestra is the London symphony Orchestra. This is an essential component in the drama because it defines tone, mood and pace in the drama.

Chorus is also an important component in drama it defines the context, moving and the main principles of the drama.

It emphasizes on a certain action which are in the drama. It is normally used repeatedly hence acting as a reminder of what is going on in the drama. Aria being an expressive melody which is not generally performed by the singer in the drama can be used to expresses two or more conflicting emotions in a drama. Recitative describes the events, thought or emotion in a drama. Ball t defines the theme of the drama since it’s a pretentious presentation of a person or people in a drama dancing to a musical accompaniment.

Bland (1976) the composer pyotr1l’yich Tchaikovsky explained ballet as being mortifying which is very negative to other composers who include ballet in there music or drama.
