It seems that Of Zots and Xoodles: Theodil Creates a Universe by self-proclaimed - self-published author, JW McLaughlin is simply about an inquisitive theory thought of by the fictional character Theodil. Whereas, Theodil decides to create a universe of his very own, otherwise known as the big bang theory.

While I am yet a strong believer in the Holy Bible as Genesis 1:1-3 states, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, let there be light, and there was light". JW, on the other hand, tells a story from a creative, sci-fi standpoint of view. Instead of seated in Heavenly places, Theodil stands before a committee of known voices who speak aloud asking intuitive questions during his intricate process as he begins to create the astounding Zots and Xoodles.

And with a god-like complex, Theodil literally rolls the dice to capture his audience attention. In doing so, he begins to intertwine the Zots and Xoodles before his and her glaring, oohing, critical, and disbelieving state of minds. No doubt, there is a contrast and comparison between this fictitious person and the one and only true and living God.

Easily, what I like most about Of Zots and Xoodles: Theodil Creates a Universe is JW McLaughlin.

As a Mother of a special needs child diagnosed with Autism, JW richly inspires. I have admirable respect for his knowledge of Educational Research, Business, and Information Systems. I am quite amazed that he traveled through life up to 40 years old without a diagnosis, assistance, treatment, and therapy. And have achieved impressive success. That certainly gives me great hope for my son's future. Moreover, although the content is a little difficult to follow, I really like the fascinating illustrations.

In addition, as much as I tried not to find something I did not like about the book, I admit, I do not like the electronic format. The book seems too scanned and not set up correctly. Furthermore, the writing style is slightly challenging to comprehend.

Therefore, I regrettably rate Of Zots and Xoodles: Theodil Creates a Universe 2 out of 4 stars. I, however, highly recommend this imaginative story to readers, young and old in support of the author. And especially to everyone who enjoys good science fiction. In addition to, I concur, this short tale indeed delivers like a modern-day Dr. Seuss. Except there is no cat in the hat. But as a bonus, it is a quick read. Congratulations to JW McLaughlin aka Zarqnon the Embarrassed on an appealing job.
