My Mother: Love And Other Qualities Of A Good Mother

Categories: Mother

Throughout my life, there have been many people that have influenced my life in many aspects, but there is only one person who had the most impact on me as a person. My mother. The woman who gave me life and never asked for anything in return. The woman who was there to watch every step I gave and picked me up when I fell. The woman who did everything for me until I was able to do it myself, and sometimes even then.

The woman who is always there when I need her love and affection. She is not just my queen, my best friend, and my role model, she is my inspiration. She is the strongest woman I know and gives unconditional love.

When someone asks me, “Who is the strongest woman?” I do not see a woman with muscles or a weightlifting model. I see my mother. I see a woman who has been a single mom for 16 years and raised 5 children all on her own.

After my father’s death, she had no choice but to start working. She needed to bring food to the table, made sure bills were paid on time, and made sure my siblings and I had everything we needed to survive. She would wake up at 3 in the morning to get ready for work and be out the door before 4:30 am. She did not just have to get herself ready for work, but also get my siblings and me ready. In an hour and a half, she had to do all of that and then drop us off at the babysitter’s house.

She went to work every day because she knew if she missed a day, there was not going to be enough money to cover the expenses. I never once see her cry. I never once heard her say “I cannot do this anymore”. She has been through so much, yet she never gave up even when she was going through the roughest time in her life.

Nothing compares to the love and affection of my mother. When I am going to rough times, she is always there for me, just like when I was little. And even though I am her oldest child, she lets me know that I will always be her little girl. When she looks into my eyes she knows when I am happy or sad. She is like a mood detector. Her hugs and kisses make me feel safe and happy. It does not matter what decisions I make in life; I know she will behind me 100%. She is the only person I can talk too and know that she will not share it with anyone else. She is always calling me and asks, “How is your day going?” “What are my grandkids going?” “Do you want to come over to eat?” People say, “No one is going to love you like your mother”, it is true! My mother’s love cannot be replaced.
