He is my first love. Yes, how not? He was a man who always sacrificed responsibly to raising up and educate me from my childhood to grown up. He work with his sweat, his prayer, patience, firmness, also his faith. He taught me everything in this world. Yes, he is my father.

I learned a lot from him. The thing I most remember about him is a learning about the meaning of the struggle in living a life that motivates me to this day.

In living this life, of course we will never escape from a problem that will come one after another to test how much our patience in passing each of our days is increasingly diminished by age. However, because of that we must also try to make our lives useful, give goodness to ourselves and others.

My father was born from a very simple family. The house he occupies with his parents and siblings can be said to be far from worthy at that time when compared to the homes of families who live around my father's house, the income of his parents is only able to eat everyday with his family.

My father was very talented in calculating, also drawing. At the elementary school level, he always won first place in the class, as well as at the next level he never separated from becoming a class champion. Because of his perseverance and patience, he finally graduated from school and was offered to work in a government office dealing with public works, precisely in the waters. Because of his expertise, he also often gets additional work to make a house plan or a building like architecture that he can do between 1-2 nights to supplement his income.

My father was a simple hard worker, until finally he married my mother and had 4 children. My sister, my brother, me, and my young sister. Our family lives with struggle from 0. Starting with the condition of my father who did not have a house at the time to attend a house with my mother's grandfather and grandmother, alternating side jobs were undertaken to cover the living costs of the four children. Daddy, you tirelessly win over your family, I'm very proud of having a father like you, a father who really motivates my life about the value of a struggle.

Day after day passed. Now, my father and mother no longer live together with my grandmother and grandfather again. My father invited us to live in a house that the government had provided to be occupied by employees. Yes, because my father did not have enough funds to build a house for us to occupy at that time.

We live with simplicity. Although my father worked in a government office, he was not appointed as a civil servant at the time. Until he took the initiative to look for other activities to increase his income as a side job. For this reason, my father has the best partner in his life. Yes, who else? She is my mother.

The presence of my mother and children in my father's life became a force in my father's life. Although it is not easy, he keeps trying to make his wife and children happy. My father tried with full responsibility to fulfill every need of his wife and children. With all the abilities and effort he has, he works tirelessly to give everything that is best for his family.

My father and mother always tried to run the business opportunities that he could do to increase the family economy. Starting from knocking the cupboard and selling it, buying a pair of goats to be herded and cared for until he can sell it back when the goat has children, selling traveling clothes, even my mother helps by traveling around the village selling traditional food by pedaling a bicycle. It did not stop there, until finally my father and mother took the initiative to trade in electronics which was followed by small food at that time. Which, the initiative about the business related to electronics was triggered by the electronic business of my mother's family which had developed well and had been known well by the public at that time. Finally, my father stocked some electronic items that he could resell. With effort, hard work, and guidance by doing electronic business from my mother's family, unexpectedly finally the electronic business that was pioneered by my father and mother is now starting to develop and can be used as a permanent job that is adequate and very helpful to the family economy.

Alhamdulillah, finally my family's economy gradually improved. My father and mother could build a house that we could live in with a family full of my father's property. How happy my father's heart was at that time. The struggle that he has been doing for so long is now starting to produce beautiful results for him and his family.

My father was born from a very simple family. Even when he was abandoned by his father and mother who were facing the god, his life was getting worse followed by trials that came in turns. However, the situation at that time was not a cause of discouragement. He still tried to be a good person for himself, his family, and the people around him.

My father was not born of a family that understood religion, even he had just learned to recite when he was married to my mother. But don't look at the some side first, even though my father really hopes that his children get the best education both in formal and religious terms. His children must be as high as possible followed by good religious education. Until my father and mother dared to send their 4 childrens to school in formal schools and were boarded all childrens into boarding schools, despite the weak economic situation at that time. With strong determination lillahita’ala, everything can be realized. My father can send and enroll his children well.

Several years later, after a long time working as an employee at the government office and waiting for the appointment of civil servants, finally my father’s and mother’s prayer granted. My father was appointed as a civil servant and had a salary that was far better than before. My family lived well at that time when compared to the life of my father and mother before.

My family life has gradually improved in terms of the economy since then. My father always tried to give the best for his children, including me. Yes, I felt a quite rapid difference compared to the time before my father was appointed as a civil servant. Maybe that is what is called the proverb, “difficult at the beginning, success in the future”. All depends on the efforts of each individual in an effort to improve their lives.

What we must always remember, that all of that we had is a gift from Allah SWT. Never boast about what we have. Because all of that can be said to be a test of life. Looking down in terms of financial capabilities is far better than seeing / observing people who are already financially capable. This method is very effective to build a sense of togetherness also fosters gratitude for what we have obtained.

The wheel will continue to spin, as well as the wheel of life. Even more time passed, I and my two siblings have graduated from high school and boarding school. My first sister now graduated with an undergraduate degree, taught in elementary school, and already had a family with 1 child at the time. My brother chose to work immediately after graduating from high school with a promising income for the future. I chose to continue my education to college, while my sister was still in high school, also still living in boarding schools close to her school.

We took on our respective roles in the journey of life that we faced at that time. With all the risks which my parents were ready to face, they were willing to sacrifice everything including living together at home. Yes, just between my father and mother at home, they are like newlyweds who have not had a child at that time. How come? I and my three siblings did not live with my parents at that time because I was studying at a place that was quite far from home, my young sister lived in a boarding school, my brother worked far away, and my first sister had a new life with her family.

Economic problems can be said to be no longer a problem at that time. but sad things happened again. My mother had a motorcycle accident until her leg broke and could not walk at that time until she had to be operated on at that time, followed by a few days after that, my father was sick so that he could not stand even for food, he had to be fed.

You might be able to guess how hard our family faced all of that. Coupled I and my sister just graduated at that time. I graduated from high school while my young sister graduated from junior high school. Due to my parents' condition at that time, I was very burdened with such conditions, especially my parent’s felt. Ah, the important thing I taught at that time is they are back to health as they always were.

However I still get luck by being able to continue higher education even though it doesn't match with what I expected before. My father's health gradually improved as well as my mother's health. But no matter how much effort we have made, God is the one who determines everything. In the second year my sister and I continued our education at a higher place, my father's health unexpectedly returning to the ground until he had to be rushed to the hospital, and not longer after that, my father returned calmly to the God. Sad, very sad. But we have to face it together with full resilience without the presence of a hero in our family.
