It is often a result of the perception of the employee to his job provides him with the outcomes he views as important. Job Satisfaction is determined by how the result of the job meets the expectations of the employee or they exceed the expectations.

Teachers are the most important group of professional for our nation’s future. Therefore, it is disturbing to find that many of today’s teachers are dissatisfied with their job. There is evidence indicating that most teachers in most school systems are not satisfied with their jobs, there is high turnover among the teachers. It is also evident that people join the teaching profession have failed. However, because of the central position teachers occupy in the educational system. The National Policy on Education throughout the world admits that no education system can rise above the quality of its teachers. Therefore, the policy recommends some steps towards the enhancement of an efficient teaching profession. These include training and recruitment of more efficient teachers at primary, secondary, and high school levels.

Job Satisfaction is the attitude of an employee which results from the specific factors related with job such as wages, supervision, steadiness of employment, conditions of work, opportunities for advancement, recognition of ability,

fair evaluation of the job, prompt with grievances, fair treatment with by employer and other similar items. Job Satisfaction is positive attitude towards one’s job. Many research studies have established that job satisfaction is derived from caused by many inter related factors. A concept related to job satisfaction is job involvement. Job Satisfaction means good or positive attitude or feeling towards one’s job. It is important to mention that an individual may told different attitudes toward various aspects of job. Character of individuals also influences job satisfaction. Individuals may with high positive effectively re more likely to be satisfied

with their jobs. One of the most important purposes to do a job is to earn money because money can fulfill our needs and demands. If one gets a high salary by which one can afford the living may cause job satisfaction, but if the salary cannot bear one’s expenditure then one cannot be satisfied with the salary. Findings from several studies underlines pay as one of the most

important factors influencing one’s level of job satisfaction. Sometimes it has also been found that other job-related factors

are not satisfactory but the pay is good, in these kind of situations employee are willing to serve the organizations just because of good pay, which does not suit the profession of a teacher.

It is important to know the satisfaction of the teachers for us to know if the school has effective education because the effective education is coming from the teachers. Among others, it demands the devotion of policy makers, administrators, teachers’ associations, the parents, the students themselves, as well as members of the wider community. It requires the provision of effective facilities and spaces, and the training and assignment of qualified administrative and other support staff. However, no matter how good the facilities or workplaces are for the teacher, the students' learning depends on them.

This study adopted Salanova, Agut, and Peiro’s (2005) shortened employee engagement statements based on the 17-item Utrecht Work Engagement Scale developed by Schaufeli and Bakker in 2003 which classified employee engagement into three dimensions, namely: vigor, dedication, and absorption. After running the reliability test during the pilot testing of the questionnaire, this study was left with two dimensions each of

vigor (energy to go to work and energy at work), dedication (inspiration to do best and work absorption), and absorption (feeling happy when intensely working and pride in work). Thus, all six items were treated as one construct known as employee engagement (ENGAGE).

As a student in a private school, we think that a lot of private school teachers leave their jobs every year and are working as medical representatives, delivery persons and in other trades and professions. It is quite important to understand why low-fee private school teachers leavetheir jobs resulting in high staff turnover. It is crucial to assess factors that cause job dissatisfaction among private school teachers.

This study is principally aimed at examine the factors that are associated with teachers job satisfaction. Both private and public schools play a vital role providing quality education for the students. A teacher who is happy in his wok plays a pevotal role in the upliftment of the study.

There is no significant difference between the job satisfaction level of private school teachers across the profile variables.
