Though the author has tried to provide the passage in a logical manner sometimes it feels too haphazard to read all the things all together as it might be a bit confusing sometimes. The author here has used the monosyllabic style of writing which is clearly depicted from the entire work he has presented. Bertrand has used the abstractions so perfectly that it reflects his thoughts as real and tend to make the readers approve those. He has also used formal writing without using any slangs which allows people of every age to read and learn from the prologue. He has also used onomatopoeic words to convey the realism of his ideas to all the readers. Also, commas have been used perfectly to bring out the effect in a different manner. For example “These passions, like great winds, have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a great ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.” The author in the text mainly focuses on his three passion: a longing for love, search for knowledge and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind, which reflects the theme of love, knowledge, and sympathy.

In his way, he wants to tell the audience that his life is mainly governed by his three passion. I appreciated his way of writing, the way he uses his words to explain the thought reasonably and logically. He has clearly mentioned his thesis in the essay. In his writing, he has written somethings in random manner. He has used commas in a very proper manner.

What I have lived for

“what are the three passions of my life?” after reading this prologue I ask this question to myself. Three passion of my life is study, family, and friends. At this stage of life study, family and friend are very important for me.

At the very first comes my family who has supported me so much. They have always been there for me all the times no matter what. I count them as blessings. I have my mom dad and brother in my family. In the world, I have only seen my family to be the real ones. They are my true love. They have done a lot for me from being a support system and my constant companion.

Then comes my studies for which my parents have done so much of scarifying. They have kept aside their priority so that they can give a good education to me. They always wanted to send me to Canada for my studies after grade 12. I am pursuing a bachelor’s in business administration and I want to do great to make my parents proud.

Lastly comes my friend. They are last in my top three list, but they are equally important to me. I have only one best friend and I love her a lot. There are somethings which we cannot share with any family member and I have another open for me and that is my friend. She is trustworthy, supportive and she is fun to be around.

To conclude I would like to stay that family, study and friend is my priority. If I have them then I don’t want anything in my life. I will always be thankful to God for what he has given to me.
