What Your Mind Can Conceive Your Body Can Achieve

Did it ever occur to you, just even once in your life that you feel contented with what and who you are at the moment? I mean, a time when there’s nothing you need or want to add up with what you have? A time when you’d just lay back on your chair and let time pass you by? A time when nothing seems to go wrong and everything’s going your way? And what’s best of it is you feel like things are so perfect that you’d never worry about what’s going to happen next.

Well, I think most of you who are reading this will probably think it’s impossible or maybe you would lose interest in what I have to say.

And you’d probably stop reading. But something keeps you going. I mean, look at you, you’re still reading the words I’m typing. And I bet you’re a little bit curious about what this is all about.

C’mon, just admit that at the back of your head, even in your busy and hectic life, where things are so serious and on the go, you’d really want to have this kind of feeling. I mean, who doesn’t want to have this kind of life? If you ask me, I’d give everything just to live a life like that. And I know you’d do the same.

A life where everything is in good hands and nothing seems to go wrong.

Well, there is such a life. And I can tell you how. If you’re interested, I can share it to you. I can share how to make you feel comfortable and contented. But if you’re too busy or you might think this is just a waste of time, then why not stop reading and go on to what you have to do. I don’t mind. So, I guess you really are interested. Okay. I’ll share it to you. Let me first ask you a question. Just answer in your mind and think about it carefully, okay?

Is there something right now that you really want? It can be something, someone or even an event that you want to happen. It can be anything, anything that your heart desires. Just take a minute and think about it. Then, when you have focused on what you want, just hold on to that thought. Right now, I want you to ask yourself this question- “do I really want this? “. Think hard and carefully. You must have a “full heart” in answering “yes” or “no”. Having a hard time? To help you think, let’s talk about something else for a while.

Do you believe that laughter is the best medicine? Well, others may think that it’s the thought of just “laughing your problems away”. Or maybe some of you might say “a happy heart is a healthy heart”. To tell you frankly, you’re all half right. The real reason of this is the mind set of a person. Ever wonder why we always comfort sick people? Why we’d bring flowers and tell them that everything’s going to be okay? And how cancer survivors survive cancer? It’s not about the chemotherapy or the medicine they take. It’s just something to keep their body in good condition.

It’s all about the thing we call “fighting spirit”. It’s all in the mind. It’s like mind over matter. The mind is such a powerful weapon. These people value the life they have and want to live it more. This is what keeps them going. They just think of one reason to live, hold on to that reason and believe with all their heart, they have a great chance to see what more life has to offer. Just to live one day at a time. And they feel the contentment of just seeing the sunrise each morning. Valuing life and having more reasons to live it to the fullest.

What I’m trying to say is that there’s more to it than money, cars, clothes, jobs, gadgets or what else in this world. You can’t take those with you when you die. What counts are the memories you’ve made. The people you’ve met and the moments you’ve shared with them. Life is more than what you see. Learn to appreciate the things you have and the people around you. We only have one life to live, don’t waste your time in that office of yours, or in the house watching movies or playing the computer. Go outside. Go with friends. Go to church.

Discover more to what life has to give. And live everyday to the fullest, coz who knows, it may be your last. And right now, I want you to think again about that thing you really want. And think really hard about it. Is it really what you want? Coz if it is, I want you to close your eyes, then think of that something, someone or event that you want, visualize it, and embrace it. Never give up to what makes you happy. We must learn to get up, set goals and reach those dreams. Coz in this life, nothing is impossible. If you just learn to believe, you can have anything.

And if you believe that you can achieve this so called “desires” of your heart, then you will. As you go through it, you’d develop an attitude of working hard, striving and doing everything for that desire. And soon, you’ll have a feeling of being contented to the person you are right now. Where nothing seems to be a hindrance and nothing can pull you down. Just enjoy the life that has been given to you. All I want you is to understand is this thought, “would you rather live a life where your dreams are impossible to be reality? Or have a life where reality is better than your dreams? “
