In the play Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare, Cesario is a very secretive person who has undying loyalty for whom she loves. He is also very obedient to whom he serves. Cesario is a very important part of the play because his character supports an idea which was not widely accepted in the Elizabethan era and he also helps to evolve and create the love triangle in this play. In the play, Cesario is used as a mechanism to turn the world upside down and then as Viola restore it.

When Cesario is told to go and woo Olivia for Orsino. He says,' I'll do my best to woo your lady.' Then he goes on and says, 'barful strife—Whoe'er I woo, myself would be his wife.' He goes to woo Olivia even though Cesario wants to marry Orsino. This shows how Cesario would rather lose his love then betray him. Finally, Cesario is a very selfless person.

Even though Cesario has lost both of his supporting pillars (Sebastian and his Dad ) He says that he is stable. He states this when Olivia asks about his parentage he says, 'Above my fortune, Yet my state is well: I am a gentleman... I am no fee'd post, lady: keep your purse.' He politely declines Olivia's money. It shows how Cesario does not desire anything and how he is happy with what he has. (this, in my opinion, is really weird because Cesario has just lost his brother). He is someone who thinks more about others than himself. This is also shown when Orsino tells Cesario to woo Olivia. Instead of thinking about himself, Cesario goes to woo Olivia Knowing that if it works she won't be able to marry Orsino. Cesario is a secretive individual who has undying dependability for whom he adores. He is additionally submissive to whom he serves.
