1. Does Monsanto maintain an ethical culture that can effectively respond to various stakeholders? Yes it does, in order to have an ethical culture you need to be able to have an ethical importance in many areas in your life, not only being personal but also in a national, emotional, social and professional way. For a very long while Monsanto had kept quiet about the pollution it was creating to the environment and harming the people which lived there. Since this was being kept a secret the stakeholders lost confidence in Monsanto and drastically affected the stock price to fall.
2. Compare the benefits of growing GM seeds for crops with the potential negative consequences of using them.
Growing GM seeds for crops can have its benefits as in can help the farmers with better crops and fields. It also can help reduce world hunger but also can have a negative effect on the safety of the foods and also on environmental effects.
And even though those effects cannot be seen now in the long term it will be seen.
3. How should Monsanto manage the potential harm to plant and animal life from using products such as Roundup?
As the advancement of technology, Monsanto created seeds containing the herbicide Roundup Ready, which kill weeds but spare the crops. Monsanto asserts that Roundup Ready doesn’t usually end up in ground water and it won’t contaminate ground water. It is safe and won’t disturb aquatic species. They are trying their best to take actions so that farmers would feel safe to use Roundup
